Immediately after the Vietnamese team won the ASEAN Cup (AFF Cup) against Thailand, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of commendation to the Vietnamese team, and at the same time sent a visit to player Nguyen Xuan Son.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his greetings and encouragement to player Nguyen Xuan Son, wishing the player soon recover his health to return to the field and continue to contribute to the country's football.

Nguyen Xuan Son was born in 1997 in the city of Pirapemas, in the state of Maranhao, Brazil. He grew up from the training camp of Vitoria Club, played for a number of Brazilian clubs before going to Vietnam to join Nam Dinh Club in early 2020. He was granted Vietnamese citizenship on September 20.

In the 2023-2024 season, Rafaelson entered V-League history as the top scorer in a season, putting the ball in the opponent's net 31 times.
