After 3 weeks of treatment and recovery from injury at Vinmec General Hospital (Hanoi), striker Nguyen Xuan Son and his wife Marcele Seippel returned to their residence in Nam Dinh to rest and celebrate Tet.

On the morning of January 25, while Xuan Son left home to finish his year-end work, his wife Seippel stayed home to prepare for Tet. Thanks to Seippel's skillful hands and the support of neighbors, Xuan Son's family had a sparkling home to prepare for an exciting new year.

Although he still occasionally suffers from injuries, the striker born in 1997 always remains cheerful and optimistic. He tries to complete his work so that he can celebrate Tet with his family. Xuan Son and his wife's home has a lush bougainvillea trellis, along with many apricot and peach blossoms in the yard.

Ms. Marcele continued: "Every day I am by my husband's side and take care of Xuan Son. Every few days while he is in the hospital, I bring the children to visit their father so that Xuan Son can maintain closeness and motivate and motivate Xuan Son during this difficult period."

She shared: "After Xuan Son is discharged from the hospital, he will continue his rehabilitation program as an outpatient and strictly follow the diet and exercise regimen prescribed by the doctor. This is the 6th Tet that Xuan Son and I have celebrated together in Vietnam. I really like the festive atmosphere as well as the image of women wearing traditional ao dai, families cleaning and decorating the house together, I am especially impressed with the way Vietnamese people wrap banh chung."

Ms. Marcele also said: "When Xuan Son is discharged from the hospital, I will help my husband with his mobility. Xuan Son is an active guy, so his recovery from injury will be quick. This period will be very difficult for both of us, but I believe my husband will overcome it."

Doctors said Xuan Son is recovering well after the surgery on January 6. The medical team designed a special training program for Xuan Son to practice at home and closely monitored his recovery process so he could return to competition as soon as possible.
