As the son of famous artist Jin Fang, Tong Hao Nhien was once delusional about himself, even being chased down the stage by stoned audiences. Not to mention, he felt pressure in front of the shadow of his famous mother.

Coming from a family, his mother is Kim Phuong, his father is artist Dang Vinh Quang - two famous reform artists but Tong Hao Nhien decided to pursue his own path when choosing modern music.

Sharing the reason, the singer said on the show "Challenge the Limits", "I don't sing well so my mother often winces and frowns. The mother's requirement for a reformed artist is to be qualified in terms of voice and appearance. I don't have a good voice. Also, I prefer to sing new music rather than reform."

In the early days of singing, Song Hao Nhien found himself very advantageous as the son of Jin Fang. Everywhere he went, he was welcomed and supported by everyone. They always gave him compliments, invitations to sing.

Song Hao Chen admitted that such a favorable first step should give him illusions about his own abilities. "When I started professionally, every time I performed on stage, people didn't say anything to me because they respected my mother, so they didn't give me any sincere feedback," he said.

As the "son of Jin Fang", besides the advantage of being favored by the voters, Song Hao Nhien faced many other pressures and difficulties. He felt that his mother's shadow was too great, causing him to often underestimate his own worth.

"I feel like no one recognizes me and my work. Everywhere people go, people ask if this is Kim Phuong's child, but asking for my name, no one knows," he said.

At that time, in parallel with performing on stage, Tong Hao Nhien also participated in the troupe of Duy Ngoc show. He shared: "When I went to sing, the MC introduced my name, the audience did not know. They just knew I was a young, new singer. Through the applause of the audience, the singer will know where he is."

He said singing for his troupe was an important step for him to determine where he was in the hearts of the audience.

He realized that, in order to be recognized and respected in the entertainment industry, he needed to build his reputation and status independently, not relying on his mother's name.

During his days singing as Tong Hao, he faced negative reactions from the audience. He was cursed, even stoned and chased down the stage.

The times he faced opposition from the audience helped him realize that, in order to succeed, he needed to prove himself through music.

He works harder, constantly improves himself and strives to gain recognition and respect. "Up to now, I no longer have pressure and I am very proud to have a mother who is a famous reform artist," Tong said.
