Lawyer Nguyen Thanh Cong - protecting the legal rights and interests of journalist Duc Hien, said his client has repeatedly complained to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court and the superior court about having to determine Mr. Hien's legal status as a criminal. The victim is harmed, not the person with related rights and obligations and is waiting for the results. Therefore, the lawyer requested to postpone the trial.

Similarly, lawyers protecting the rights and interests of singers Dam Vinh Hung, Vy Oanh, Dinh Thi Lan... and a number of others also asked the jury to resolve the issue of redefining their legal status as victim.

Regarding this, the representative of the Procuracy said that the object of this crime is social order, not individuals or organizations, so if those with related rights and obligations disagree, they have the right to appeal.

Of these, 57 sessions contained fabricated, false content that seriously offended personal reputation and honor; information belonging to personal secrets, family secrets and private lives of: singers Vy Oanh, Dam Vinh Hung, artist Hoai Linh, singer Thuy Tien and her husband, journalist Han Ni, journalist Duc Hien. ..

During the investigation, Ms. Hang stated that the reason for doing so was that these people had previously made offensive statements about her and her husband and her charity fund.
