After many extensions of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang's detention period, on September 21, the trial of Binh Duong officially took place. It is worth mentioning that the court has also summoned some of the artists involved.

More than 1 year since Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang was arrested and detained for "Abusing the rights to freedom and democracy to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals", on August 30, the Ho Chi Minh City TAND made a decision to bring the case of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang (General Director of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company, Binh Duong province) and 4 accomplices, together with the crime of "Abusing the rights to freedom and democracy to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals" under Article 331 for trial at first instance.

Earlier, on August 18, the HCMC Institute of Civil Engineering. Ho Chi Minh City has completed the indictment for prosecution before TAND HCMC. HCMC proposes to try the defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang (General Director of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company) and 4 accomplices for abusing the rights to freedom and democracy to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

It is known that the presiding judge is Judge Bui Duc Nam, the alternate judge is Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh. Representative of the People's Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City Ho Chi Minh City held the prosecution at the trial were 3 prosecutors Dinh Quoc Dung, Le Thi Quynh Anh and Nguyen Ngoc Lam.

Lawyer Ho Nguyen Le (Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association) HCM) is the defender of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang. Defendant Dang Anh Quan has 3 defense lawyers, while the remaining defendants do not have defense lawyers.

At the same time, at the trial of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang on September 21, the court also issued a written summons to Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang's husband, Mr. Huynh Uy Dung, comedian Hoai Linh, singer Vy Oanh, singer Dam Vinh Hung, singer Cong Vinh - Thuy Tien, etc journalists Han Ni, Ms. Dinh Thi Lan, Ms. Le Thi Rich, Ms. Truong Thi Viet Ha, Nguyen Dinh Kim came to court as persons with related obligations and interests.

According to the indictment, taking advantage of her personal influence, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang continuously organized livestreams to talk about many unverified contents and make statements about the secrets of private life and private lives of many individuals, affecting personal reputation, seriously offending reputation, etc honor of individuals.

Besides Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang, there are 4 other accomplices. Among them, there are three accomplices who are Ms. Hang's subordinates, the defendant Nguyen Thi Mai Nhi (40 years old, Ms. Hang's assistant), Le Thi Thu Ha (31 years old, an employee of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company), Huynh Cong Tan (29 years old, Head of Communications Department of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company), although not in conflict with the artists, singers and individuals mentioned above, but because they are employees and receive salaries from Ms. Hang, they constantly perform acts of positive help for Ms. Hang.

Not only that, Binh Duong also invited law doctor and lecturer of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, defendant Dang Anh Quan to participate in livestreams to increase the credibility of her statements. Every time Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang makes an offensive statement to others, Mr. Quan interacts and speaks to encourage Ms. Hang to commit criminal acts. Explaining his participation, Quan said he wanted to comfort Ms. Hang.

During the investigation, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang also admitted to making derogatory statements about the above individuals.

The 3 defendants Nguyen Thi Mai Nhi, Le Thi Thu Ha, Huynh Cong Tan, although they did not have conflicts with the above individuals, but because they were employees and salaries of Nguyen Phuong Hang, they continuously carried out acts of actively helping defendant Hang.

In addition, these three accused also participated in hosting livestreams, announcing the number of viewers, reading comments on livestreams, etc.

For the defendant Dang Anh Quan, authorities determined that he had directly participated in many livestreams with Nguyen Phuong Hang. During these livestreams, Dang Anh Quan spoke, commented, and interacted with Nguyen Phuong Hang about content that seriously offended honor, prestige and dignity of many individuals.
