Miss Vietnam 2024 contestant met Do Ha, but called Thanh Thuy's name, hoping for one thing

Many girls at the Diplomatic Academy have registered together, becoming the first contestants of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest. One of them expressed her desire to be like Thanh Thuy.

On the afternoon of January 9, the first recruitment activity of Miss Vietnam 2024 officially kicked off at the Diplomatic Academy in Chua Lang (Hanoi). This is an opportunity for students to interact with the organizing committee, as well as learn from the experiences of Misses in previous seasons.

The festival attracted the participation of many students from the Academy and neighboring universities such as the University of Commerce and the Academy of Finance. The girls made a quick decision thanks to their trust in the position that the contest has built over 36 years, and were also convinced after being informed by journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper - Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024, about the highlights and superiority of the new contest season, and listening to Miss Vietnam 2020 Do Thi Ha's motivation.

In her first attempt at an official beauty pageant, Le Hoang Khanh Linh (19 years old, from Tuyen Quang), a student at the University of Commerce, shared the reason for choosing Miss Vietnam because she believes this is the oldest beauty pageant, with a long history, and enough stature and prestige to define the beauty and knowledge of women.

Khanh Linh also believes that the Miss Vietnam pageant has the power to spread positive messages. According to the Gen Z student, registering for the pageant is an act of breaking out of her comfort zone. Because in the past, she used to be self-conscious and afraid of gossip.

But at the present time, Khanh Linh wants to challenge herself. From there, she conveys her own message: "If people talk behind your back, go as far as possible, until you can't hear what they say anymore."

Commenting that her strength is confidence, Khanh Linh sets the highest goal, becoming the owner of the future Miss crown. Besides, the Commerce student also wants to have more opportunities to connect with other girls across Vietnam and learn more about the culture of other regions of the country.

Khanh Linh added that her role model is the reigning Miss Vietnam Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy. She wants to shine brightly like the new Miss International. Besides Khanh Linh, at the exchange, there was another face that received attention, which was Miss Diplomatic Academy 2023 Doan Thi Xuan Linh.

She received compliments from journalist Phung Cong Suong for her confident demeanor and intelligent questions. But unlike the female students above, Xuan Linh has not decided whether to participate in the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest or not because she is a fourth-year student and has her own plans.

However, according to the femal.e studen.t of International Relations, she is very interested in "the main palace" and loves it even more after a conversation with the Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper and Miss Do Thi Ha. Moreover, Xuan Linh has always cherished the dream of having a Miss Vietnam from the Diplomatic Academy. Therefore, the possibility of her enrolling is quite high.

Miss Vietnam 2024 is a season with a journey spanning many culturally and historically rich locations, from Hanoi to the ancient capital of Hue. In particular, Misses, Runners-up, and candidates who win additional prizes will be selected as ambassadors in many fields, representing the country and people of Vietnam to participate in promotion throughout the 2-year term.

Notably, for the contestants who made it to the next rounds, Mr. Phung Cong Suong affirmed that the organizing committee will cover all expenses for accommodation, travel and costumes, ensuring fairness and equality for all contestants from the semi-final round to the final.
