Miss International: World Top 3 Contest, Thanh Thuy Creates Miracle After 29 Years

Recently, Miss Thanh Thuy - Vietnam's representative was officially crowned the highest position at Miss International 2024. This is considered a historic event in the Vietnamese beauty industry when for the first time a Vietnamese representative was able to achieve this highest position.

The moment Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned by Miss Andrea Rubio from Venezuela, many people burst into tears because they were moved by the little girl's efforts. Immediately after that, many people were also curious about the scale of the Miss International contest that Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy participated in.

Miss International is officially called The International Beauty Pageant. Miss International, along with Miss Universe; Miss World and Miss Earth, are the four largest beauty pageants in the world, collectively known as the Big Four. Miss International was first held in the United States in 1960. The pageant was held in the United States until 1967, when it was bought by Japan and held there from 1968 to 1970.

The competition was held again in the United States in 1971 and 1972, and has since been held annually in Japan. Historically, the competition has been postponed three times in 1966, 2020, and 2021 for various reasons.

Miss International 2024 is the 62nd Miss International contest held at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan. The contest has the participation of 71 contestants from countries and territories. In the final night, the representative of Vietnam - Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy excellently became Miss.

Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy is the first Miss Vietnam to be sent to the Miss International arena. She is also the first Vietnamese beauty in history to be crowned Miss International, 29 years after 1995 - the first year Vietnam sent a representative to the competition.

Runner-up Thuy Van used to hold the record for many years for the highest achievement of Vietnamese beauty at Miss International before being surpassed by Thanh Thuy.

In 2015, runner-up Thuy Van of the 2014 Ao Dai beauty pageant represented Vietnam at Miss International 2015. As an intellectual beauty with an elegant and graceful appearance, Thuy Van was expected to make an impressive achievement for Vietnamese beauty. In the final night, with an impressive response, the Vietnamese representative won the 3rd runner-up prize and became the Vietnamese beauty to achieve the highest ranking at Miss International for 9 consecutive years.

In 2019, Tuong San was the representative of Vietnam to participate in the Miss International beauty pageant after winning the 2nd runner-up position of Miss World Vietnam 2019. In the final night, Tuong San was named in the top 8, but she was unlucky not to go further, making her fans regretful.
