Public opinion is abuzz about the mysterious disappearance of Nguyen Ba Khanh Cuong (born in 2003). He is believed to have been missing since the evening of August 4 after climbing Hoang Nguu Son alone. Recently, a new clue has been revealed, shocking the community.
A mysterious disappearance happened in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, when a 22-year-old man named Cuong went climbing Hoang Nguu Son mountain and then disappeared without a trace. It is worth mentioning that before leaving, he left behind a shocking clue, revealing a terrifying omen about this fateful trip. While more than 100 people including family, volunteers, professional rescue forces and sniffer dogs are searching day and night, the truth about the young man's disappearance is still a big question mark, causing a stir in the community.
The Chilling Prophecy and the Last Photo from the Mountaintop
The incident began on the morning of August 4, when Cuong left home to climb Hoang Nguu Son Mountain alone. However, before leaving, he left a clue that made many people shiver. He said into the camera of the family where he worked that this was his first time climbing Hoang Nguu Son Mountain, he was afraid of getting lost, and if he did not return by 6 p.m., he would call the police. This haunting prophecy has now become a terrifying sign of a trip that will not go smoothly.
The family's worries came true when at around 8:30 p.m. the same day, after sending a photo taken on the top of Hoang Nguu Son mountain to his group of friends, the young man's phone was completely disconnected. From a peaceful, happy photo on the top of the mountain, everything suddenly fell into a terrifying silence.
Upon receiving information from the owner of the store where Cuong worked, Mrs. Phan Thi Loan (Cuong's mother) who was living in Binh Thuan (now merged into Lam Dong province) immediately set out for Nha Trang to look for her son. From then on, the mother's painful journey of searching began.
The Mother's Terrifying Search and Heartbreaking Pain
Immediately after receiving the information, a terrible search was mobilized. More than 100 people including family, volunteers, professional climbers, and rescue forces of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police joined the effort. Not only that, the authorities also mobilized sniffer dogs and drones to search for the victims. However, all efforts were fruitless.
According to Khanh Hoa newspaper, the northern area of Hoang Nguu Son mountain has been almost completely searched by the forces. Despite their best efforts, the authorities have not yet found any trace of Mr. Cuong. In the following days, the rescue team and experienced mountaineers will expand the search area to the southern area of the mountain range.
In the past few days, Ms. Phan Thi Loan and her family members have been on duty day and night in the area looking for her son, waiting for news. Speaking to the media, Ms. Loan said that in the past few days, whenever she heard any signs, her family would follow the group up and then return disappointedly. The mother only hoped to find her son alive and safe.
Life experience and scary warning of the mountain of death
Mrs. Loan told more about her son, a life full of compassion. She and her husband divorced, Cuong lived with his grandmother since he was young. The young man started working early to help his family. For about 3 years now, Cuong has been working at a tofu production facility in Nha Trang. He is considered gentle, independent, and has no girlfriend. Besides work, Cuong has a passion for traveling and mountain climbing. For Cuong, mountain climbing is a weekly habit, as a way to relax and relieve stress.
However, Hoang Nguu Son Mountain (also known as Dong Bo Mountain) is not as gentle as he is. This is the highest peak in Nha Trang, with a height of 972 meters, standing out with its shape like a "golden buffalo" facing the sea.
This mountain is famous for its wild landscape, but the steep terrain, many cliffs and ravines, deep mountain ranges, dense trees, tall grass that obscures the view, is potentially dangerous for inexperienced climbers. And perhaps, this is the most frightening warning about the dangers that Cuong has faced. Currently, the search is still ongoing, but the hope of finding him alive is becoming increasingly slim.
