The family's worries came true when at around 8:30 p.m. the same day, after sending a photo taken on the top of Hoang Nguu Son mountain to his group of friends, the young man's phone was completely disconnected. Upon receiving information from the owner of the store where Cuong worked, Mrs. Phan Thi Loan (Cuong's mother) who was living in Binh Thuan (now merged into Lam Dong province) immediately set out for Nha Trang to look for her son. From then on, the mother's painful journey of searching began.
