Recently, the trailer for "Fighting in the Sky" has been released, causing "shudders" because of Thai Hoa's acting and dark voice. This haunting performance promises a dramatic, engaging and highly anticipated work from the actor.
On July 25, the Sky Deathmatch crew officially released the first poster and trailer, revealing the main characters and the extremely tense scene on the plane. The center of attention was none other than Thai Hoa, the veteran actor who appeared with a tense expression, especially in the scuffle scene, carrying out the hijacking in the cramped cabin, facing the panicked eyes of hundreds of passengers around.
The bloody poster, with its close-up of a tense, life-or-death confrontation, immediately made many people speculate: could it be that Thai Hoa will play the villain, the leader of the hijackers, while Thanh Son will play the role of a flight security guard, representing the righteous side?
In the first images revealed, Thai Hoa's cold, lifeless face, uncertain eyes and blood-stained shirt evoked a gloomy feeling of a violent attack about to take place in the air. His appearance in this image made the audience shudder, and many people assumed that Thai Hoa would take on the main villain role, the leader of a brutal hijacking. Thai Hoa's "divine" acting ability promises to bring a terrifying villain, giving the audience "goosebumps" every time he appears.
The image of Thanh Son as a soldier, with his determined and resolute eyes, further reinforces the speculation about a "life and death" confrontation between the two sides of good and evil. The contrast in appearance and expression of Thai Hoa and Thanh Son created a strong attraction for Tu Chien Tren Khong right from the first scenes.
One of the special highlights of Sky Deathmatch is that the film is inspired by real hijackings that happened in Vietnam. With the appearance, setting and costumes in the 1970s, it is highly likely that the film will choose to recreate the shocking incident in 1978, the only hijacking in which a female flight attendant played a pivotal role.
In 1978, on flight DC4 number 501 from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, a dramatic hijacking occurred when the hijackers attacked in mid-air. In that "life-threatening" situation, two brave flight attendants, Ngo Kim Thanh and Huynh Thu Cuc, risked their lives to protect the passengers and the flight.
One of them pretended to faint to find an opportunity to act, the other was seriously wounded but still steadfastly completed the mission, contributing to minimizing damage and ensuring the safety of passengers. The story of the extraordinary courage of these two flight attendants has become a legend in the Vietnamese civil aviation industry, demonstrating the noble sacrifice for duty and the lives of passengers.
Kaity Nguyenâs appearance in a blue ao dai with a collar, a typical outfit of Vietnamese flight attendants at that time, further reinforced speculation that she would reprise the image of one of these two legendary flight attendants. With her emotional and powerful acting ability, Kaity Nguyen promises to deliver a realistic and moving performance, vividly portraying the courage of the silent heroes in the sky.
The combination of three famous actors with top acting abilities, Thai Hoa, Kaity Nguyen, and Thanh Son, along with a bold and dramatic theme "rarely seen" on Vietnamese screens, makes Sky War quickly become the center of attention in the fall of 2025. The film promises to bring breathtaking action scenes, tense mind games, and touching stories about courage and sacrifice.
With a unique setting in the air, a haunting hijacking theme, and inspired by a real event in Vietnam's aviation history, Sky Deathmatch is expected to become a blockbuster worth watching, bringing a breath of fresh air to domestic cinema. The film is scheduled to premiere nationwide from September 19, 2025, promising to "burn up" the box office and leave a deep impression on the audience.
