Thai Hien was a famous female singer before 1975, her voice is associated with the songs of musician Pham Duy. The clear voice of the 16-year-old girl when singing the songs "Female Song" stirred many hearts at that time.

Thai Hien (full name Pham Thi Thai Hien, born 24 April 1958 in Saigon) is an overseas Vietnamese singer, the fifth child and eldest daughter of musician Pham Duy and singer Thai Hang. Thai Hien entered the artistic path in the early 70s under the guidance of her father.

Thai Hien started singing at the age of 13, she is famous for her songs such as: The boy caught the peacock, The baby caught the cricket, Mr. Trăиg came down to play the areca tree, Burning leaves on the yard ,... of musician Pham Duy who is also her father.

After passing the age of "Oh mai", Thai Hien often sang the songs "Female Song" about school age and adolescence such as: Age 13, Age of dreaming, Age of sadness, Age of idleness, Age of flattery,.... The clear, gentle but deep voice of the teenage singer has distracted and bewildered the sobbing hearts of many audiences.

At the age of 16, Thai Hien was able to join and stand on stage with Pham Duy's family band The Dreamers. In 1974, when Julie left the Dreamers for France, Thai Hien became the lead vocalist of the band. Success kept coming to Thai Hien, at that time she was also considered the "muse" of Pham Duy music because of the excellent performance of her father's works.

Growing up in a large artistic family, most of the members are big names of Vietnamese music, but Thai Hien shared that she is not pressured to strive to follow the path of the previous generation but let things be natural. The singer said she did not want to constrain herself but let her life and career be as comfortable as possible.

In addition to performing the compositions of musician Pham Duy, Thai Hien also sang love songs of other musicians such as: Pham Dinh Chuong, Tu Cong Phong, Trinh Cong Son, Ngo Thuy Mien, Văи Phung ,... Thai Hien's voice is considered calm, gentle, deep and the more penetrating it sounds.

She is considered the leading voice of Vietnamese music overseas. Thai Hien's voice is calm, gentle, delicate but sincere, the public still speaks Thai Hien "gentle" voice as her name, but the more listeners listen, the more intoxicated.

When his career began to rise, it was also when this singer left Vietnam to follow his father to settle abroad. Overseas, Thai Hien's voice still resonates everywhere but no longer has the clarity of a little girl who has grown up and is considered a standard of Vietnamese voice.

Revealing about her life in the US, Thai Hien is one of the first voices of overseas Vietnamese music, she has been singing again since the late 70s, becoming the main voice of the Pham Duy Band (along with her sister Thai Thao and father - the late musician Pham Duy) performing at many universities in both English and Vietnamese, and then a solo career.

In 1982, Thai Hien officially had her debut overseas music product, which is the Hoa Thuong Remember Ai cassette, especially this tape was made by her brothers (Duy Quang - bass, Duy Minh - drums, Duy Hung - electric & acoustic guitar, Duy Cuong - keyboards, prophets,...) so it can also be considered as an album of The Dreamers.

And then there were a series of extremely successful albums and enthusiastically supported by the audience, typical of which was "Call to Chan May" sung with Tuan Ngoc released by Diem Xua Center in 1991. In 1992, she collaborated with Thuy Nga Center and appeared in the program Paris By Night 19 - Pham Duy - Works and People .

In 2006, Thai Hien returned to Vietnam and held a concert entitled "Thai Hien in concert" at Saigon Opera House on November 30, 2006 with two generational guests, singers Duy Quang and Le Hieu. In this program, musician Quoc Bao is the composer and composer of the music (the song "Love song for the lady" performed by Duy Quang and Le Hieu in this program was composed by musician Quoc Bao based on the inspiration of singer Thai Hien himself).

After the concert held in Vietnam, Thai Hien took a break from singing. In her previous return to Vietnam, sharing with the media, Thai Hien once told about her own life with a charming story of many difficulties. Up to now, talking about her personal life, she also only said: "At this age, Thai Hien only wishes to have good health, and live for everyone around her, not to wish for a private life anymore."

Thai Hien shared, Tuan Ngoc and Thai Thao are the support and pillars for her in life that "Without these two people by her side, Thai Hien would not be able to stand".

Thai Hien said she lives normally like many people, is not picky about eating and living healthily. During the outbreak, Tuan Ngoc's sister-in-law confided that she was a little sad because she was just hanging around at home.
