The first flight to bring back Vietnamese from Ukraine has just taken off, ensuring full "equipment" to make everyone feel secure.

In the face of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the life and safety of overseas Vietnamese living, working and studying there has become a national concern.

Recently at 11:30 am on March 7, the Boeing 787 super aircraft of Vietnam Airlines, the first flight carrying Vietnamese people from Ukraine to home country, took off at Noi Bai.

The Boeing 787 super plane with a large number of seats is the first favorable factor for the rescue of Vietnamese people trapped from the war zone in Ukraine. The airline's representative said that the flight is expected to welcome 283 Vietnamese passengers and their families who have been evacuated to Romania to wait.

According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, the flight is expected to land at Noi Bai airport at 9:30 am on March 8. This person said: "After arriving in Romania, we will quickly complete the procedures and welcome the passengers back to Vietnam."

Previously, the airline had selected 6 locations around Ukraine with one-way flight time from 9 to 14 hours. Specifically, the flight route from Hanoi - Warsaw (Poland). Next are Hanoi - Budapest (Hungary), Hanoi - Bratislava (Slovakia), Hanoi - Moscow (Russian Federation), Hanoi - Minsk (Belarus), Hanoi - Bucharest (Romania).

According to him, the crew participating in the selected flight are all experienced people. Pilots have many flight hours, flight attendants are experienced flight attendants in handling situations. Vietnam Airlines has continuously participated in the rescue and protection of citizens returning home many times across continents many years ago.

It can be said that these rescue flights have a special thing that the preparation must be very thoughtful and urgent from the choice of using the aircraft; apply for permission to fly over countries and territories; Plan how to fly to ensure safety. Because if there is any mistake, it will not only affect the overseas Vietnamese on the flight but also become a challenge for subsequent rescue flights.

Previously, the Vietnamese Government also had policies calling for the return of overseas Vietnamese living in Ukraine after a period of "fighting" in the middle of a dangerous war zone.

Specifically, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has presided over and coordinated with the Ministry of Transport (the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam) to urgently carry out necessary procedures to organize the prompt and timely return of citizens to the country; provide a list of Vietnamese citizens evacuated back home so that airlines can arrange resources to serve and organize flights as planned.

On the other hand, the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also requested to organize more flights to bring Vietnamese people in Ukraine home.

But there are also many different reasons that many expatriates in Ukraine will not return to their home country, but only evacuate to neighboring countries to stay safe. Fortunately, many Vietnamese in these countries have launched a campaign to welcome and support thousands of compatriots.

Talking to reporter Tien Phong on March 6, Nguyen Nhu Lan, Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine, said that up to now, about 80% of Vietnamese people in three b.ig cities, Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa have moved. finished dissipation.

He said that his working group had to be standing at Lviv station (in western Ukraine) to coordinate and hire vehicles to bring people to the border gate quickly and safely. To date, Mr. Lan's group has successfully organized a number of trips to bring relatives to Poland, avoiding local congestion at Lviv's railway station.

The effort to protect the lives and safety of expatriates in Ukraine is a beautiful act that the Vietnamese Government and many leading agencies as well as airlines have done in the past time. It is expected that in the shortest time, Vietnamese children will be able to return to their home country safely, or at least "temporarily avoid" through neighboring countries more conveniently and quickly.
