Miss Vo Le Que Anh - Vietnam's representative at Miss Grand International 2024 disappointed the audience and caused regret when she did not achieve the expected results in the final night, breaking Vietnam's streak of being in the top 8 for 8 years.

On the evening of October 25, the final night of the Miss Grand International 2024 beauty pageant officially took place in Bangkok, Thailand. 69 contestants from all over the world entered the name calling round, then the Organizing Committee called the top, from top 20 to top 10, top 5 and then the titles of Runner-up to finally Miss. After a night of explosive performances, the highest position was awarded to contestant Rachel Gupta - representative from India.

This year, Vietnam's representative is the reigning Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 - Vo Le Que Anh. Throughout the competition, despite her best efforts in each round, luck did not smile on the beauty from Quang Nam. Compared to this year's contestants, she did not meet the standards to be called into the top 20. Right when she was out of the top 20, Vietnamese fans still believed that the beauty queen would have a chance to win the vote award and go straight to the top 10. However, in a moment of change, Que Anh dropped in the last minute, and the vote award was awarded to Indonesia.

Losing the voting prize also means that Que Anh officially has no chance in the final night. She is also the Vietnamese representative who broke the streak of being in the top 8 consecutive years of the country, when from 2016 until now, Vietnamese representatives at Miss Grand International have all been named in the top.

As soon as Que Anh officially lost at Miss Grand International 2024, the online community exploded, harshly criticizing the Miss Grand Vietnam organization, when right from the beginning of the national competition, the Organizing Committee chose Que Anh, causing controversy and not receiving approval. Many fans believe that if the representative to compete was runner-up Hanh Nguyen, who was considered more deserving of victory than Que Anh, then the results might have been different when going international.

In 2020, runner-up Ngoc Thao excellently brought Vietnam into the top 20 with her own strength. In 2022, Miss Doan Thien An became the first Miss Grand Vietnam to represent the competition and she entered the top 20. Although Vo Le Que Anh's outing was disappointing, it still left many regrets, because the country's streak of achievements was officially broken.
