According to Article 17 of the 2015 Penal Code, complicity is a case where two or more people intentionally commit a crime together, including organizers, practitioners, instigators or accomplices. In this case, Thuy Tien is accused of aiding and abetting the crime.

Lawyer Cuong further affirmed that, according to Clause 2, Article 198 of the Penal Code, the crime of Customer Deception in cases such as being organized, professional, using cunning tricks, or illegally profiting from 50 million VND or more, can be fined from 100 million to 500 million VND or imprisoned from 1 to 5 years.

With the current charges, Thuy Tien could face a maximum prison sentence of 5 years. In addition, she could be fined or banned from holding a job or practicing a related profession for up to 5 years.
