At Sing! Asia , Phuong My Chi left her mark with a series of performances that were "full of Vietnamese flavor - a new breath", blending folk, symphony and modern pop. She and her crew invested heavily in both the audio and visual aspects of these performances.

Chopsticks

Phuong My Chi performed a song she composed with DTAP called Chopsticks. Inspired by the familiar image of a bundle of chopsticks in Vietnamese culture, the performance conveyed a message of solidarity, friendship and connection between Asian countries.

She sang in three languages: Vietnamese, English and Chinese, along with an elaborate staging with 30 children dressed in traditional costumes from Asian countries, creating a scene that was both vibrant and touching.

Phuong My Chi said that the song is not just a simple performance, but also a spiritual gift she wants to give to Sing! Asia - a place that has given her many valuable experiences, filled with love and special connections from friends and audiences across Asia.

Lost

In the final night, Phuong My Chi collaborated with artist Hoang Linh to perform Son Tung M-TP's hit Lac Troi in Vietnamese and Chinese. DTAP's new arrangement using a symphony orchestra pushed the emotions to a climax, making the performance the highlight of the night.

The universe has you

Previously, in the semi-final night 2 of Sing! Asia, Phuong My Chi faced off against female singer Ai Tan Giac La Mi (China). The singer born in 2003 chose the song Vu tru co anh.

The highlight of the song with the Ca Tru melody is the opening part. Phuong My Chi also showed off her rap skills, which Phao wrote especially for this performance. She also collaborated with a saxophone artist on stage to bring modern symphonic material to the international arena.

Drunken Sound - The King of the Six Seas

In the first semi-final, Phuong My Chi collaborated with female singer Kha Lau in the mashup Tuy Am - Luc Hai Vi Vuong. Phuong My Chi sang Luc Hai Vi Vuong in Vietnamese and Kha Lau performed Tuy Am in Chinese.

The harmonious combination helped Phuong My Chi's team's performance win 190.6 points, ranking 3rd out of 5 pairs.

In the quarter-final night, Phuong My Chi performed the song Bong phu hoa, composed by the group DTAP, inspired by the story Nguoi con gai Nam Xuong.

The performance combines traditional music and contemporary sounds. The arrangement uses the Dan Co as the main sound axis, evoking a Southern space rich in cultural colors and contributing to recreating the characteristic chanting quality of folk songs.

In particular, the female singer born in 2003 surprised the entire audience when she sang the chorus in Chinese - a subtle combination that helped the audience and international judges more easily perceive the meaning of the work. One of the moments that made the audience explode was when Phuong My Chi hit the highest note - known as "dolphin voice".

Moon Trading and Rock Grain of Rice

Appearing on the international stage with two songs of contemporary folk music – Buôn Trăng and Rock Hạt Cơo, Phương Mỹ Chi showed off her sweet, strong yet delicate voice. These are two compositions in the album Vũ tử cổ bay – a highly appreciated experimental music project of the female singer born in 2003.

Phuong My Chi not only made the audience explode with her powerful folk voice, but also caused a "fever" when she suddenly performed Vovinam martial arts right on stage. The unique, bold and Vietnamese performance brought her a convincing victory over her opponent from Japan.

It can be seen that 2025 is considered a very memorable year for Phuong My Chi. The female singer entered 2025 with the trophy 'Promising Young Vietnamese Face 2024'.
