On the morning of April 30, the national celebration, parade, and march program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) took place.
At 6:30 a.m., the art program began with a drum performance with the participation of soldiers and students of the People's Police Academy, expressing the heroic atmosphere and common joy of the Vietnamese people on the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification and the reunification of the country.
Next, the art puzzle section with the theme of The Country is Full of Joy (content director: General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army) took place with the participation of many artists and soldiers from the military ceremonial troupe, the art troupe of Military Region 1, Military Region 2, Military Region 9, and the Military University of Culture and Arts. In this performance, many meaningful images were recreated, aiming to convey the messages of the event.
The opening part is the Party's Light formation to the background music of the song "Oh Vietnam, Spring is Here" composed by musician Huy Du. Next, the artists and soldiers recreate the image of 5 armies entering Saigon, tanks entering the Independence Palace. In the melody of the song "The Country is Full of Joy" performed by two veteran artists, People's Artist Quoc Hung - People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, the image of the lotus flower and the symbol of the bird of peace appear, symbolizing the desire for peace and national pride.
Next, a short scene was performed to the tune of the song Red Flower Color with the participation of Meritorious Artist Le Thien. She authentically expressed the emotions of mothers whose children were in the army, the longing, the longing, the happy moments of reunion. The scene paid tribute to the losses and sacrifices of millions of families, to create national peace.
The art program was highlighted by the appearance of two young artists: Phuong My Chi and Double2T. The two artists performed the song Spring in Ho Chi Minh City based on a new arrangement, receiving a large response from the audience on social networks. Next, singers Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung performed the hit song Continue the story of peace by musician Nguyen Van Chung - a work that has spread strongly on social networks in recent days, currently estimated to have reached more than 2 billion views and shares.
The art program celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification ended with the performance of the song "Joining Hands", along with the affirmation that we are entering an era of national growth, determined to build a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy country.
After the show aired, people argued about Phuong My Chi and Double2T. Specifically, people wondered why these two singers did not appear for the rehearsal and let others replace them. This caused the two young faces to be condemned for being unprofessional and not investing in the performance.
In addition, people also compared Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung. The two seniors braved the sun to rehearse the performance to ensure safety while the two juniors were absent.
