The incident stems from the fact that student A, who is studying in grade 7/2, asked to transfer to grade 7/1 where Ms. Hien is the homeroom teacher. A's class change was approved by the school Board of Directors, but Ms. Hien did not want to accept him into her class.

Student A's parents were upset, saying that due to pressure from Ms. H and some students in grade 7/1, student A could not enter the new class and could not finish studying in the old class.
