Female firefighter crowned Miss Grand Canada, 1 plus-size beauty attracts attention

Beauty Alivia Croal was crowned Miss Grand Canada 2024. She won the right to represent Canada at Miss Grand International 2024 held in Cambodia and Thailand in October. Alivia Croal is 22 years old this year, currently a firefighter with the Toronto Fire Department. Before pursuing a career in firefighting, Alivia served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Alivia Croal founded the non-profit Ace Foundation to promote women in first responders and build community support networks. Croal also works with Wounded Warriors Canada, which organizes a series of charity golf tournaments. “Obviously, I have a lot of experience in two male-dominated fields,” she says.

Alivia Croal shares that she is constantly striving to make the world a better place and empower other women to follow her path.

Alivia Croal says her motivation to enter pageants came from her mother and grandmother. "My grandmother was in the high fashion industry and my mother was in pageants. She modeled as a teenager and she inspired me to enter Miss Teen Canada 2018, and I did it."

Alivia Croal has about 2 months left to prepare for Miss Grand International 2024 held in Cambodia and Thailand in October. She is working hard to practice her make-up and catwalk skills.
