Nguyen Viet Hai: President Son Hai, son suspected of being in love with Miss Do Ha

Most recently, on January 5, 2024, Son Hai Group has written to Project Management Board 7, Ministry of Transport, requesting to sign an annex to the contract to increase the construction warranty period from 2 years to 10 years of highway construction in the XL02 package of Van Phong - Nha Trang section (in the North-South expressway project phase 2) undertaken by this company receive.

Son Hai Group began to gain public attention in 2014 when participating in the National Highway 1A expansion project. At that time, road sections were usually only warranted by contractors for 2 years, but Son Hai alone declared a warranty of up to 5 years for two packages that it implemented, package No. 10 and package No. 14 with a length of 15km passing through Quang Binh province. Son Hai even planted "5-year warranty" signs along the roads "for people to participate in traffic to supervise".

Not only declaring the warranty longer than prescribed, in 2015, Son Hai Group also committed that if the subsidence exceeds the allowable level, it will be overcome by the method of peeling the whole thing up and reworking, not compensating for subsidence in the way of loss of aesthetics or single subsidence compensation as other contractors have done. From this commitment, the Ministry of Transport has increased the 2-year warranty to 4 years for National Highway 1A.

At the end of 2022, Son Hai Group once again "played big" when committing to a 10-year warranty and the State will not need to spend any money during the warranty period.

Notably, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway project has a route length of 49.1km, starting in Dien Khanh district, passing through Cam Lam district and Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province with a total investment of VND 7,600 billion invested by Son Hai Group, which is still 3 months ahead of schedule.

In addition, according to the expectation of Son Hai Group, package XL02: Construction of Km337 500 - Km368 350 North-South expressway, Van Phong - Nha Trang section, which will be completed from February 2023, will be completed at least 1 year earlier than planned.

The president appeared in front of the media for the first time

Son Hai Group was established in 1998, is one of the largest private enterprises in Quang Binh. After more than 2 decades of establishment, besides the core segment of construction, experience, relationships as well as accumulated resources have helped Son Hai expand strongly into capital-intensive but also potential fields such as energy and real estate.

Thanks to its reputation in the market and appropriate business strategy, Son Hai is increasingly becoming a big brand, not only in Quang Binh - Quang Tri region, especially if the upcoming North-South expressway projects/packages are carried out on schedule and quality.

The success of Son Hai Group is closely tied to the role of Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, who is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors. According to information on the Enterprise Registration Portal, Mr. Viet Hai is also the dominant owner, holding up to 99.912% of the charter capital of VND 2,338.4 billion of this enterprise.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai was born in 1966 in Quang Binh. In 1984, after graduating from the University of Economics majoring in Business Administration, Mr. Hai worked at the Logistics Department, Quang Binh Provincial Police. Realizing that Mr. Hai has business ability, the leader arranged him to directly work in Nhat Le Company of the police of Quang Binh province.

In 1996, the mechanism changed, the police no longer worked in economics, Mr. Hai applied to return under regime 76 to establish a business company under the Enterprise Law. Before establishing Son Hai Construction Co., Ltd. in 1998, Mr. Hai had two years of business as an individual business household in Bac Ly - Dong Hoi, Quang Binh.

Currently, in addition to business, Mr. Hai actively participates in socio-political activities. At the end of May 2021, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai was elected as a delegate to the People's Council of Quang Binh province (belonging to the group of deputies of Dong Hoi city) for the term 2021-2026.

Although Son Hai Group has been famous for a long time, until May 18, 2023, many people will know the face of this secretive chairman when Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai gives an interview in VTV's 19h news on May 18, 2023.

At the year-end review of Son Hai Group, there were 28 individuals honored for excellence, from many different teams and departments such as driving rollers, bulldozers, dump trucks, cranes,.. engineers and managers representing 1,700 employees of Son Hai Group.

In particular, the person with the lowest income is a roller machine worker with an amount of more than 270 million VND. The other 12 individuals were workers who drove bulldozers, dump trucks, cranes and tunnel boring machines,.. income ranges from 312 to 348 million VND; 2 technical and operation workers have incomes of 416 and 492 million VND respectively.

The honored team of engineers and managers consists of 13 people, of which only 1 person gets nearly 500 million VND, the rest are over 500 million VND. In particular, there are 6 managers with an income of up to 1,400 million VND in the past year.

"Whoever says that Liang Shanhai is this and that, this is proof. Driving lu, average income 280 - 290 million, driving ben over 300 million, engineer over 500 million and especially over 1 billion. It is an internal achievement of Son Hai Group," said Chairman Nguyen Viet Hai, Son Hai Group Co., Ltd.

Chairman Nguyen Viet Hai also revealed that, in addition to income that has been paid on time during the year, Son Hai Group deducted nearly 60 billion bonuses for employees in 2023.

Besides Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, the holder of the remaining shares of Son Hai Group is Mr. Le Viet Huong, born in 1994, holding the position of Director and one of 6 legal representatives of Son Hai Group.

In addition to Son Hai, Mr. Huong is currently named in the members of the group, namely Dak Di 4 Hydropower JSC, Huong Tuan Dat Investment Co., Ltd. and Minh Huong Co., Ltd., all based in Quang Binh.

Mr. Le Van Huong is a road and bridge engineer, started working at Son Hai Group in mid-2017. The whole family including Mr. Huong's father, mother, and sister are also working as employees/managers of departments at Son Hai Group.

In the list of legal representatives of Son Hai Group, there are 4 other members, including Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Director born in 1985; Mr. Hoang Minh Truong - Deputy Director was born in 1948; Mr. Ngo Minh Ngoc - Director was born in 1987 and Mr. Nguyen Viet Vuong - General Director was born in 1994.
