"Owner" Hoang Hien: Spending 3 billion to make up with Duy Manh - Tuan Hung, My Tam had to break the rules

Spending 3 billion on charity to fulfill the challenge of the "evil" couple Tuan Hung - Duy Manh to stand on the same stage, the owner of Doc Mong Mo Hoang Hien arouses curiosity about her identity and family background.

It is known that Hoang Hien was born in 1992 and studied marketing at the University of Commerce.

"After that, I went to Japan to study and when I returned to Vietnam, I studied for a master's degree in Business Administration.

I ran a homestay business in Tam Dao and when everything was stable, I opened a cafe near the homestay. After that, I opened a small stage and gradually expanded the scale and to many other locations across the country," she shared.

From homestay and cafe business to investing in program production, Hoang Hien confided: "Actually, it's a passion. I've been a fan of Bo Dan Truong for more than 20 years. Since I was little, I often went to see Bo's shows. Later, the two brothers became very close friends. And from those times, I also wished that I had such stages, so when I was able to do small stages, I tried to develop bigger stages.

At first, I only invited close artists, such as Bo. He was willing to help and support. However, I also encountered many difficulties. The biggest difficulty, I think, was not financial but experience and personnel. Before that, I had no experience, only passion, so I didn't know where to start. I also had to consult and learn from everyone.

Luckily, I come from an audience, so I understand what audiences need and what they want to see at my music events. From there, I try to learn and improve."

Talking about the reason for spending 3 billion to make peace with Duy Manh - Tuan Hung, she frankly said: "This sho.w is one of my most memorable events up to now. It was completely by chance, not arranged at all.

Before that, I had never worked with Mr. Duy Manh and Mr. Tuan Hung, but when I saw their challenge online that if anyone was willing to donate 3 billion to the Fatherland Front for the people affected by storm No. 3, the two of them would stand on the same stage. After reading it, I suddenly had the thought "why don't I try it?".

At first, the two of them kept asking me if it was true or if I was joking. I understood that their skepticism was natural. After that, I talked to them sincerely and received their enthusiastic support.

I am very grateful to Tuan Hung and Duy Manh. After a few days of working, I saw that their hearts towards the community were very sincere. They proactively proposed to buy their own plane tickets, rent accommodation, pay for food and drink... to save the maximum cost for the organizing committee, in order to have more funds to carry out charity activities for the people.

That sho.w was one of the most difficult shows for me. First, it was large in scale, and second, it was the venue. At that time, I decided to hold it in Tam Dao. The weather on rainy and stormy days like that was very difficult, from traveling to transporting the stage and staff, to the performance space.

Although we could borrow a large yard to do it, because the ground had not been used for many years, it had many potholes, so we had to rent boards to fill them up and place them on the ground. But that solution still could not be used because many of the holes were too big.

The concert took place on September 21, 2024, and on the night of the 19th, we had to buy nearly 500 cubic meters of sand. Trucks transported it day and night, along with about 100 people shoveling sand into wheelbarrows to fill each hole. Everyone had to work for 2 days and 2 nights until the afternoon of the 21st to finish. Those are memories that I will probably never forget."

Not only Tuan Hung - Duy Manh, Hoang Hien also made My Tam soften. "As everyone said, Ms. Tam is a very big name, a leading singer in Vietnamese showbiz at the moment. When inviting Ms. Tam, we only contacted her manager directly. I asked to meet and talk and flew to Saigon to Ms. Tam's company to talk.

I shared very frankly and honestly my wishes and goals in the program, so I received sympathy from Ms. Tam. And then I went back to set a date, contacted her again and Ms. Tam agreed.

That program is called Brothers Unite 2 but it took place in Hanoi in early March. We donated 2 billion VND to support people to remove temporary and dilapidated houses in Cao Bang and Kon Tum provinces before the program took place.

Perhaps Ms. Tam's side also feels that this is a very meaningful program. I also showed confidence and professionalism from the stage setting to the organization so that not only Ms. Tam's side but all other artists have confidence when accepting to participate in our sho.w," she said.

Talking about artists' salaries, Hoang Hien said: "I think that for artists at each time, their salaries will be different. When they tell us their salary at a certain time, it means that it is suitable for their reputation. So usually we will never bargain with artists' salaries.

Actually, when doing charity shows, there is no profit because we still have other sources of income such as small or large-scale shows in Tam Dao, Sa Pa, Tay Ninh... Besides, I still have other businesses for income such as homestay... Honestly, when I did homestay, I also had to run back to borrow my parents' land book to do it (laughs).

We hope to be able to do bigger shows, approaching international shows or bringing international artists to Vietnam. When I'm tired, I think about stopping doin.g i.t, but maybe this is my passion."

Sharing about her private life, Hoang Hien said she is single: "I am not married yet, so my current life is quite comfortable. Usually, I do not bring the stress and fatigue of work home. When I am home, I almost only spend time resting and relaxing."

When asked "Being beautiful, rich, talented... is that the barrier that prevents Hoang Hien from finding the right person?", she simply replied: "I think it's just fate."
