Recently, the Food Safety Department issued a warning about two products of N-Collagen Import-Export Company Limited, advertised by Ngan Collagen (real name Tran Bich Ngan), which seriously violated current regulations.

The products in question are "Apple candy to eliminat.e belly fat" and "N-collagen Chanh plus". Both are listed as dietary supplements, distributed by companies in Ho Chi Minh City and produced at the Dan Phuong industrial park (Hanoi), but have not been granted a certificate of acceptance and confirmation of advertising content according to legal regulations.

What is worrying is that, despite being "whistled" and warned by authorities, many other products under the brand name Ngan Collagen continue to "run rampant" on social networks. With just a simple search with the keyword "Ngan Collagen", dozens of websites and personal pages will appear, loudly advertising this woman's products.

Standing out among them is the official page, with a blue tick of the "rich lady of Can Tho" that continuously posts articles and videos introducing a series of cosmetics and beauty supplements. Most recently, this page also advertises products such as Collagen Ha Moisturizing Mist to help brighten and smooth the ski.n; Cordyceps Bird's Nest Collagen or Golden Ginseng Face...

On major e-commerce platforms, dozens of other products of Ngan Collagen such as N-Collagen Ginseng Face Cream, N Collagen Green Ginseng Face Cream, N Collagen Sunscreen... are also sold publicly.

Notably, even on Ngân Collagen's personal social media platforms, livestream sales sessions still take place regularly. During these sessions, she continuously introduces ski.n whitening, melasma treatment, collagen drinks, weight loss products... with attractive commitments of "instant beauty", "effective after 7 days", meeting the desire for quick beauty of many people.

However, the spread of Ngân Collagen products comes with another worrying problem: information about the manufacturer, the announcement number and the expiry date of many products are unclear. Consumers are almost unable to verify the real quality of the products themselves, while they are still being sold at a very high price.

In fact, this situation is not only unique to Ngân Collagen but is also common in many other functional food and cosmetic products on the market: being fined and "whistled" by authorities but still finding ways to "live healthy" thanks to marketing tricks that hit the psychology of "fear of aging, fear of ugliness" of many women. Meanwhile, a segment of consumers lack vigilance and are easily persuaded by "winged" advertisements.

For her part, after a period of silence in the face of controversy, in early June, Ngan Collagen officially spoke up. In a video posted on her personal page, she affirmed: "All of the company's products are licensed, inspected and legally circulated". At the same time, she provided a series of documents as evidence for her words. However, consumers are still skeptical.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety and the Hanoi Department of Food Safety and Hygiene were asked to urgently inspect and verify the production activities of the two products "Apple candy to eliminat.e belly fat" and "N-collagen Chanh plus" of the "rich lady of Can Tho". At the same time, the authorities will also take samples for testing to determine whether there are banned substances or not. To date, the official test results have not been widely announced.

With dozens of other Ngân Collagen beauty products still being advertised and sold widely on the market but not mentioned in this inspection, are there any potential risks of violations? This big question remains unanswered.

It is known that this is not the first time that Ngan Collagen's products have been "expose.d" by authorities. In 2021, her company was fined 35 million VND by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate for false advertising on product labels.
