MEOVV failed miserably because of the same mistake as BABYMONSTER, BLACKPINK is also involved

On June 6, an exclusive source from "SPOTV News" revealed that The Black Label - an entertainment company founded and run by "hit wizard" Teddy - is urgently preparing for the debut of a brand new idol group with a mixed lineup of men and women.
This information immediately attracted great attention from experts and fans around the world.
Over the past decade, Teddy has asserted his irreplaceable position in the Korean music industry. Starting as a member of the music group 1TYM under YG Entertainment, Teddy quickly successfully switched to the role of music producer.
He is the person behind a series of hits that have made the name of many famous artists such as BIGBANG (Fantastic Bab.y, Bang Bang Bang), 2NE1 (I Am The Best, Fire), BLACKPINK (DDU-DU DDU-DU, Kil.l This Love) and recently Jeon Somi with a series of songs with personal colors such as Dumb Dumb or Fast Forward.
Not only is he the one who shapes the sound, but Teddy also contributes greatly to building the visual concept, launch strategy and performance style of the artists he collaborates with - a factor that helps them stand out in a fiercely competitive K-pop market.
While most entertainment companies still follow a clear gender segregation model - either male groups, or female groups - Teddy chose to go in the opposite direction. Preparing to launch a mixed male and female group is not only a challenge in terms of image management, music direction, and marketing, but also a test for the openness of the K-pop public in the new era.
In addition to the resounding success with "idol empires" such as BLACKPINK, Teddy has recently expanded his influence to a new generation of artists, including MEOVV and IZNA.
However, contrary to expectations, Teddy had a dismal year. MEOVV debuted in September with the single "MEOW", with an unimpressive digital record. After that, for 2 months, the group almost "disappeared", did not actively participate in promotional programs, nor was it discussed on forums.
On November 18, MEOVV reappeared with 2 songs "Toxic" and "Body", but once again failed to create a resonance. The audience thinks that these are music products that are too bland and unattractive to listen to again.
Despite Teddy's years of fame, public interest in MEOVV remains low.
In particular, "Toxic" - the song Teddy was relatively more involved in the production - is an R&B song with a melodic, dreamy melody, in stark contrast to the strong hip-hop style that many people expect from a "Teddy gir.l group".
In the composition credits of "Toxic", Teddy is listed third, after 24 and Kush. For "Body", Teddy appears seventh in the at-bat.
But in IZNA's debut song, Teddy's name is listed first. This led to speculation that MEOVV had been sidelined by Teddy to focus on producing music for IZNA.
Even before their debut, IZNA was promoted as a "group produced by Teddy". After that, the group presented the first stage at the MAMA 2024 major music awards.
But although IZNA is commented to have a quite outstanding appearance, their debut song "IZNA" itself received many mixed opinions because it was not very impressive. Critics said that "IZNA" was not attractive enough to be the title track for the album.
According to Ten Asia, the phrase "Teddy-made group" may initially have been an advantage for IZNA, but it ended up overshadowing the members instead of highlighting them.
Specific information about the lineup and launch date of the mixed group is still under wraps, but industry insiders revealed the project has entered an advanced stage of preparation. With extensive experience and excellent ability to "read the market", Teddy is expected to once again create a push, not only with the new group but also with the general development trend of Kpop.
In the midst of an increasingly diverse and disruptive global audience in music, Teddy's mixed group may be a breath of fresh air, challenging all the traditional norms of the Korean idol industry. If successful, this will be more than just a group but a bold manifesto for unlimited innovation and creativity.
BabyMonster Ahyeon reveals her ambition, not willing to stay behind Jennie Blackpink JLO15:34:00 12/10/2024Since her debut, Ahyeon has made a strong impression with her outstanding appearance and confident performance style, to the point that the online community affectionately calls her little Jennie, a younger version of her senior Jennie BLACKPINK.
