"From now on, I have to try to live positively and think positively to save the world. Because in the end the trouble came from me. This condition lasted for many years, even causing Nam Em to be hospitalized in 2020 for treatment.

In 2016, during the preparation period for the Miss Earth contest, Nam Em discovered that she had depression and anxiety disorders. She shared about endless sleepless nights, weight loss and obsession with negative thoughts. These diseases have made Nam Em unable to control her emotions, often falling into a state of panic when faced with unexpected problems.

In 2020, Nam Em was hospitalized because his condition worsened. She had to be treated with medication combined with psychotherapy, but difficulties continued to follow her. Nam Em had to admit that she was very afraid of being alone, because at those times, she often panicked and had to go to the hospital to feel safe.
