Miss Universe Vietnam contestant 'tricked', pointed straight at Mook and said 1 sentence, Ngoc Chau corrected

Miss Cosmo playground started with new points to strengthen the beauty industry that has been inflated as it is today. Recently, the Top 45 contestants entered the training phase through the THTH series, attracting debate from many long-time beauty fans.

Cosmo Camp - the reality TV series of Miss Universe Vietnam - aired on the evening of May 11. The program's format focuses on the training journey of 45 contestants before the final night.

Candidates who passed the preliminary round received a difficult challenge, competing for a ticket to the top 45 to enter the training series. In particular, the debate - one-on-one debate - caused candidates to reveal their poor communication skills when holding the microphone.

The most interesting debate came from Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh and Mlo Senaivi. The two contestants were forced to present opposing views on the topic of Gender Equality in Power Organizations.

On the supporting side, Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh continuously presented convincing arguments. Meanwhile, Mlo Senaivi - a contestant who is being supported on beauty forums - chose to refuse to answer, standing still in all three turns.

Judge Mook Karnruethai Tassabut - Miss Cosmo 2024 runner-up - was upset with the choice of the contestant from Dak Lak. "I competed in the debate, and even lost. But what I did was not give up any opportunity. Because the only outcome you have is losing if you don't fight, don't stand up to defend yourself," Mook commented.

Mlo Senaivi quickly argued with the Thai judge, speaking fluently in English and showing dissatisfaction. This forced judges Ngoc Chau and Vo Hoang Yen to speak up.

"At all costs, never waste the opportunity given by others. You have up to 3 turns. You can skip turns 1 and 2 to prepare your argument for turn 3. You must speak up so that others can understand. You have an unwise strategy of leaving all 3 turns blank," judge Ngoc Chau said frankly.

Vo Hoang Yen also spoke up to discipline the contestant because she suspected Mlo Senaivi was playing a tric.k. "I hope this is not your intention, using a strategy to make people underestimate you, then explode. You were very clear when answering Mook, even like you were debating, not allowing the judges to answer. I still hope this is not a tric.k," Vo Hoang Yen said.

The judges said that Mlo Senaivi was being sought after by the media and the judges had high expectations. The fact that the contestant missed all three debates created many surprises.

After the debate and swimsuit rounds, the contestants continued to conduct. The organizers gave 10 topics, typically Inner Self, Moon Hunting, Empowerment, Impact, National Pride... for the contestants to demonstrate their abilities, then selected the top 45 to enter the Cosmo Camp training series.

At the contestant introduction event held on May 11 in Ho Chi Minh City, a representative of the Miss Cosmo Vietnam organizing committee said that the Top 45 came from 24 provinces and cities. The highlight is that many contestants have good academic achievements, IELTS 8.0, and the ability to speak many languages. Some contestants are TV MCs, Party members, professional athletes, lawyers, IT specialists...

This year's contestants are mostly new faces, diverse in ag.e, many of whom are Gen Z beauties. Among the 45 beauties, runner-up Truong Quy Minh Nhan attracts attention. Because she was crowned runner-up in the Miss Grand Vietnam contest organized by Sen Vang company, now she has registered to compete in Miss Universe Vietnam. Previously, Minh Nhan explained that she did not sign a contract with Sen Vang after winning the crown, her comeback was supported by Ms. Pham Kim Dung and Hoang Nhat Nam.

The new feature of Miss Cosmo Vietnam is that contestants undergo 50 hours of practical training with 5 topics: Performance skills, Thinking & handling situations, Diplomatic protocol, Communication & image building, and Personal style shaping.

The final round of Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 is scheduled to take place at the end of June in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.
