Nam Em has just been involved in noise when he was accused by musician A Tuan of singing the song Le Ngang Heaven pagoda, causing a stir in the online community. She then explained and apologized through the new crew.
In the past few days, social networks have been abuzz with the news that Nam Em was accused of singing the song Le Ngang Heaven pagoda â a song composed by musician A Tuan. It all started when A Tuan himself posted a forum expressing his frustration because his song was used by many singers for commercial performances without permission.
He said that this shows disrespect for creators, even though he himself is not too strict about copyright and is always ready to allow if asked in advance. The male musician emphasized that the act of "using the pagoda" is a violation of copyright, and at the same time called on artists and audiences to build a civilized music environment, respecting the gray matter and efforts of art makers.
In response to the harsh reaction from musician A Tuan, Nam Em then posted a video on TikTok to explain the whole incident. The beauty born in 1996 said that the reason she sang Le Ngang Heaven was because she was asked by the audience to perform a night, not intended to use it for commercial gain. "Before singing, I checked the list of songs that were allowed to be covered, and saw that Le Ngang Heaven was in it. I only sing to please my fans, I have never uploaded it to YouTube or made money from this song," Nam Em explained.
She also recounted that at that night, the band did not match, many songs were stopped in the middle, so she only sang improvised to socialize. "That show, I only received 10 million. After deducting the cost of costumes, make-up, filming... is almost nothing. I just want to keep the memories but then I leave them and don't post them anymore," she added.
Nam Em admitted that she was "difficult to open her heart" and afraid to communicate directly. She said the former team â which was in charge of applying for copyright â has stopped cooperating, so now a new team is assisting in handling the case. "I'm a bit of a clumsy person, not everyone is easy to open. What is weak, let others do it," she said bluntly.
On the afternoon of November 2, as promised, the representative of Nam Em's crew sent an official email to musician A Tuan, clearly explaining the industry and apologizing. According to the content of the letter, Le Ngang Heaven was not on the list of songs prepared for the night. However, because the audience asked for a surprise, Nam Em improvised to sing on the spot. The crew affirmed that they did not exploit the song on any platform and hoped that A Tuan would sympathize with the situation that arose.
Musician A Tuan, after reading the letter, said that he highly appreciated the attitude of Nam Em and respected the civilized way of solving. The online community then divided into two streams of opinions. Many people agree with A Tuan, saying that copyright is the minimum principle that should be respected. Others defended Nam Em, saying that it was thanks to her that they knew Le Ngang Heaven. However, experts affirm that bringing a song to the performance stage â even if it is just "improvisation" â still needs to complete the procedure for obtaining permission from the copyright owner.
Notably, before this "pagoda singing" case exploded, Nam Em was also accused of stealing 8 million VND from a crew that had cooperated in July 2025. The Facebook account P.Q.D. posted a post accusing the couple Nam Em - Bui Huu Cuong of not paying for the service even though they had repeatedly reminded them, accompanied by images of comparison messages. The series of controversies continues to make Nam Em's image continue to become the focus of controversy.
