Miss Universe 2024: Ky Duyen received a long letter from a journalist, telling a story from 10 years ago

Recently, MC and journalist Ngo Ba Luc attracted attention when he posted a status of nearly 1000 words about Miss Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen. The male MC recalled the time Ky Duyen competed in Miss Vietnam with many little-known stories.

The male MC wrote: "Ky Duyen is one of the few beauty queens in Vietnam whose anthropometric ratio reaches the "golden" ratio. As for men, there is also male king Tien Doan who once possessed the golden anthropometric ratio.

The first time I knew Ky Duyen was at the Northern round of Miss Vietnam 2014 held at the Nang Song Hong eco-tourism area. That year, Duyen had just turned 18 years old, and I was impressed by her because of her name. So among the dozens of contestants who made it to the Northern finals, besides the extremely beautiful Huyen My and whom I had known before, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was the only contestant whose name I remembered and who was impressed by Duyen because she had a very nice body.

The national finals that year were held in Phu Quoc. I remember when we flew in, the organizers let us stay at a hotel outside the town instead of Vinpearl Phu Quoc, so every day, the organizers would have a car take the press group in to access the contestants' activities. I remember that time, when we arrived at the hall, the girls were practicing their performance.

A while later, it was time for a break, the girls quickly found a place to rest, gathered to chat, eat fruit or drink water. I was sitting on a chair in the corner of the hall when I saw a girl walk straight to me, bowed and smiled brightly, introducing herself: "Hello! I'm Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen from Nam Dinh, I've heard of you for a long time and finally got to meet you, you're new here, right?".

So I exclaimed: "Oh, so you're Ky Duyen? I only heard your name and saw you on stage so I didn't recognize you." So we both laughed and talked for a while, then Duyen asked permission to go back to the contestants. And Duyen was the only strange girl among the contestants who came out to greet me, so I had a good impression. The first time I was impressed by her name, and the second time I was impressed by the greeting itself.

That year's competition had many promising candidates: Huyen My, Pham Huong, Khanh Van, Ngoc Quy, Trang Tran Diem Quynh, H'Ang Nie, Diem Trang... but Ky Duyen was the one who made many differences, for example, the story of sports training. Back then, after each last training session of the day at around 5:30 pm, the contestants would return to the hotel to rest, shower, eat and drink so they could continue training at 8 pm.

All the contestants returned to the hotel, Duyen also returned but instead of resting like her friends, Duyen changed into a tight gym outfit, she went to the resort gym alone to work out, 1 hour a day. That was Duyen's daily activity since she was in her hometown, that is also the reason Duyen has had a healthy, toned body since she was 18 years old.

And according to MC and journalist Ngo Ba Luc, after Ky Duyen was crowned Miss, she was still very friendly. She proactively texted him asking to join the group to distribute charity items.

"After winning the crown, Duyen faced a lot of criticism. Even half a month later, she was still criticized. At that time, I was carrying out a project to distribute winter clothes to homeless people. Duyen read my Facebook and she proactively chatted with me, asking to join. And Duyen and I wandered around the alleys of Hanoi until 1am on a cold Hanoi night to give clothes, blankets, and medicine to homeless people. I didn't report Duyen's actions in the newspaper, but I just felt warmed by the beautiful soul of an 18-year-old girl."

Sharing more about Ky Duyen's journey to conquer another beauty title, Miss Universe Vietnam, journalist Ngo Ba Luc said he was surprised: "The other day Duyen registered for Miss Universe Vietnam, I was a bit surprised, but then I quietly followed and supported her, and then she was crowned, I was not surprised because she deserved it."

Under the sharing of MC, journalist Ngo Ba Luc, many people expressed their interest in the stories about the behavior of this famous beauty queen. Everyone acknowledged that Ky Duyen has a standard body, high determination and had high expectations that she would make a surprise at the Miss Universe contest.
