Miss Grand brought Sen Vang from glory to shame, continuously encountered storms, needed to resolve the problem

After Thuy Tien's victory in the international arena, Miss Grand Vietnam became the dream of many Vietnamese girls. However, after Que Anh's controversial season, the contest fell into a 'flop' state, the organizers had to beg a runner-up to return to compete.
Thuy Tien is the name that 'guarantees' the glory of MGV in recent times. However, she got into trouble with the law because of her fraudulent business behavior, which surprised the world. After Thuy Tien's 'fall from the horse', Sen Vang announced the termination of the cooperative relationship with the beauty queen. But the question after this information is where is Sen Vang's responsibility in managing talents and promotional and business contracts?
Two consecutive years after Thuy Tien's historic victory in the international arena, the Miss Grand Vietnam contest still created a big buzz in Vietnam throughout the two seasons of 2022 and 2023. However, 2024 witnessed a clear "downfall". Although there were still many expected names, there was information that many contestants were "blatantly oppressed" behind the scenes, causing great controversy about the fairness and transparency of the contest.
In the 2024 season, under the controversial coronation of Que Anh, the Miss Grand Vietnam brand has officially "gone into a tailspin". According to many "experts", after more than half of her term, it seems that Que Anh has not had any impressive promotional contracts, "worthy" of a national beauty queen. Meanwhile, 1st runner-up Hanh Nguyen was chosen as the ambassador for Ngoc Chau Au diamonds, and 2nd runner-up Thu Hien became the representative face of Elasten Vietnam. The obvious "difference" in commercial activities between the beauty queen and the runner-ups further strengthens the rumors of "oppression" and "favoritism" behind the scenes.
After the Miss Grand International journey, Que Anh, although she created a few highlights, still did not really stand out, making her journey after returning home even more difficult. Recently, the beauty queen appeared frequently on many fashion runways, however, these events were only "homegrown" in nature, not big enough to help Que Anh really shine or create a deep impression in the public's heart.
In addition to internal issues regarding management and competition results, the Miss Grand International mother pageant has also been repeatedly plagued by scandals about "degrading women's values" and a series of noisy crown renunciations. These controversies have continuously dealt heavy blows to the MGI brand, causing many Vietnamese girls to "turn around" and give up the idea of participating.
The clearest evidence of the "failure" of this brand is the recent "slow" and unattractive opening of the Miss Grand Vietnam season. During many days of casting, the audience did not record any outstanding or "bloody" names. This shows that Vietnamese beauties have lost faith in this contest after too many scandals about "clearing the way" and "helping to bring down women".
Previously, potential names like Nam Anh and Thien Huong were also caught up in suspicions of "blatant bullying" at MGV, causing them to not achieve their deserved positions. Now, it seems that no prominent names dare to participate, for fear of falling into a similar situation. Even Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 runner-up Minh Nhan, who was expected to continue to try her hand at MGV, has now "turned around" and decided to compete in Miss Cosmo - a new beauty pageant with great potential. This further confirms that the trust of Vietnamese beauties in MGV is gradually fading.
In the face of lackluster information about the new season, information has been spreading on beauty forums that the Miss Grand Vietnam Organizing Committee has been "begging" 2nd Runner-up Thu Hien to return to participate in the 2025 season. Thu Hien is a beloved face with modern beauty, personality and intelligence. The fact that the Organizing Committee has to "ask for help" from a Runner-up who has not yet finished her term to attract media attention for the new season shows the "suffocation" and serious shortage of potential candidates.
As soon as this information spread, many audiences could not hide their "gloating" at the "meanness" of a contest that once dominated the beauty market. They said that this was the price to pay for the "turbulence" and lack of transparency that had occurred over the past time. Will "begging" Thu Hien help MGV regain its position, or is this just a "last resort" move in the context of the contest gradually losing the trust of both contestants and audiences? The answer is still ahead, but clearly, the journey to "save" the Miss Grand Vietnam brand will still have many thorns.
Miss Que Anh, 'aunt Dung's pet', is still obscure near the end of her term, fans criticize her 'heavy spirit' Sông Trăng17:14:29 29/05/2025Vo Le Que Anh was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam amid widespread opposition and boycott by beauty fans. Because she did not receive support, Que Anh became shunned in her home country, and even though her term was about to end, she was still not recognized.
