Left Hand: Bringing Pluggnb back to Vietnam, "defeated" Dangrangto was "confessed" by HIEUTHUHAI

Left Hand is known as a young and talented HipHop artist in the Underground world. Recently, he made an impression at "Rap Viet" season 4 with his unique performances but stopped quite early.

Left Hand (or a.k.a Yung Turtlr), whose real name is Hoang Anh Quan, born on September 22, 2000, is a promising young Hip Hop artist from Hanoi. With the stage name "Tieu Rua" or "Left Hand", he has made a mark in the Vietnamese Underground community.

Besides, Left Hand is known as a pioneer in bringing Pluggnb (a small branch of Plugg music) to Vietnam. In 2018, together with like-minded artists such as Toska, Lil Crxxzy, Wxrdie, Fujishen, he founded the Chewingeng 185 group, helping to bring Pluggnb music closer to Vietnamese youth.

In 2020, Left Hand together with CCMK and other artists such as G Rose, Teddy founded VCC - Vibe Catcher Collective - a famous underground music group in Hanoi. VCC is not only a place to produce quality music products but also a collective that plays an important role in the development of HipHop and Pluggnb music in Vietnam.

Left Hand's music is inspired by foreign artists, such as Eminem and especially the Cloud Rap period from 2014 to now. His style is appreciated for its uniqueness in melody and melody, combined with a hip-hop quality full of emotion and distinct personality.

With more than 6 years of activity in the Underground world, Left Hand not only stands out as a rapper but also the main sound engineer of VCC with Teddy. He has established himself as an artist who is able to maintain stability and quality in each product, even if it is released continuously for a short time. At one time, 10x Ha Thanh released up to 4 songs in a month but the quality still did not decrease.

At the 2nd broadcast episode of "Rap Viet" 2024, Left Hand brought to the stage of the Conquest round of the performance "Dream Dream" and became the next piece of the BigDaddy team. Commenting on 10x Ha Thanh, BigDaddy shared: "To be honest, my exam hasn't really conquered me. I think that if I bring my entry to the contest round like this, I should be a little more face-to-face. But it's okay, with the talent you have, you can support me."

Coming to the Head-to-Head round, Left Hand - Dangrangto was trusted by BigDaddy to pair and wanted the two to explode. The theme given to the duo is the subtraction. The rapper from Hanoi shared: "When I hear that except people often think of drops and get rid of something, but we want to make music that makes people get rid of their sadness, minus worries and negativity."

As a duo who have worked together on many products, Left Hand and Dangrangto work very well, bringing a sweet R&B love rap to the stage. At the end of the contest, 10x Ha Thanh received 37%, while the opponent was 63% of the votes from the studio audience.

Sharing about the competition of the pair, guest HIEUTHUHAI suddenly exclaimed: "I love Little Turtle - Left Hand with a very good contest and I have known Left Hand for a long time. After discussing, judges JustaTee and Thai VG decided to choose 1 person to master the stage, with a song structure that brings bright energy in accordance with the theme color to move on to the Breakthrough round and the name Dangrangto was announced. Therefore, Left Hand had to fight in the 8Bar round of the show.

However, luck did not smile on the boy born in 2000 when he had a problem in the competition. And the next person to join the BigDaddy team after this round is Nhat Hoang. Talking more about Left Hand's opponent, Dangrangto, also known by the rap name Tran La Luoi, real name Tran Hai Dang was born in 2002 in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province. He is currently an active rapper in the group Workaholic$.

Dangrangto's hometown of Vinh Yen, about 60 kilometers from Hanoi, is a small and peaceful city. However, he did not grow up in a vibrant environment of hip-hop culture like Hanoi or Hai Phong, but had to face many events in life. This has formed a rapper with a gentle and poetic demeanor of the Vinh Yen people, combined with the stubbornness and extravagance of the person who has experienced it.

About 7 years ago, Dangrangto was first known through a brother from high school. The video he watched was a rap verse he wrote on the background of Le Cat Trong Ly's music "I Stand on the Field". The slow, relaxed demeanor, along with the love rap lyrics, full of poetry, the faint addition of cigarette screeching and the sound of the phone announcement next to it made this person unable to watch it just once.

After that, Dangrangto worked hard to upload the tracks to SoundCloud. Many tracks are only recorded with iPhones but still reach hundreds of thousands of listens. In particular, the song "I also miss you, don't you" he wrote in the 10th grade has exceeded 1 million views.

The recordings are very raw, Dangrangto's voice is both hoarse and trembling as if he was about to burst into tears, and this has made many fans feel sympathetic.
