Gill is a name that is no longer too strange to the audience, especially the rap music loving community. This guy is also a familiar face of the program "Rap Viet" because he participated in seasons 1 and 3 and has just returned to season 4.

Gall, whose real name is Vu Truong Giang, born in 1999 in Hanoi, is a bright young rapper in the Vietnamese hip-hop community and is increasingly affirming his talent and name with a series of quality products, loved by young people.

It is known that from the 3rd grade, Gill began to be expose.d to rap and hip hop through the mp3 player that his brother gave him. Before reaching his brother, this brother had already downloaded the early songs of Vietnamese rap. After enjoying it, Gill felt interested and began to learn and search to listen to more music products of domestic and foreign rap artists.

By the time she was in 12th grade, Gill had begun writing her first songs. In 2016, he joined Oceanboys (now Ocean Mob). And 4 years later, the young man decided to participate in the program "Rap Viet" in hopes of having the opportunity to learn and improve himself.

From the first round, Gill attracted the audience with her handsome appearance and good rapping ability. The mix of "Waving Goodbye Yesterday" on the background of the original song "Because I Am Alive" helped the male rapper conquer the judges, 4 coaches and was chosen to continue with the Karik team.

Notably, Gill is one of the only two contestants to achieve the absolute casting score of the first season of "Rap Viet". He is also considered a young rapper with a relatively complete skill set. However, the male rapper was still unable to go deeper when he stopped at the Breakthrough round, losing at the hands of teacher Nam (Gonzo).

Coming out of the sho.w, Gill also owns a series of ho.t hit products such as: And the world has lost a lonely person, Luxury Smooth, 119 remix, Picasso, Locoboiz dissin, Room 808, 3g or wifi, Light, Autumn Rain, etc.

In early 2022, Gill released a new music product called "U is heaven". This song is a combination of drill and trap styles, with an extremely impressive image, imprinted with Vietnamese culture such as ao dai turban, tuong stage, shrimp nest board... This is considered an idea that few young rappers can think of.

The inspiration for Gill to embark on the "U is heaven" test came from his love for Vietnamese culture. Before that, the male rapper had always explored, learned and tried to incorporate the cultural elements of his country into music products. However, until this music product, he has all the conditions and knowledge to fulfill that desire.

When coming up with the idea for the MV, Gill and his crew had to research shrimp nest toys and tuong art to honor the beauty of Vietnam. Perhaps, the biggest difficulty and challenge for the male rapper is time.

Because "U is heaven" has 6 scenes, but it must be wrapped up in 1 day of filming. The whole team had to manage in the studio because they could not go out on the street in the epidemic situation in Hanoi at that time was very complicated. Fortunately, everything still went smoothly and the product was completed quickly.

At the end of 2022, Gill continued to release an EP called "In Love Lately" with many very catchy love songs. With a good skill set, good taste in music and good visual thinking, but at this time he has not been able to turn on, becoming a young star of the rap world in particular and Vietnamese showbiz in general. Looking back on himself, he thinks that the problem comes from his internal strength and personality.

Deciding to do it again at "Rap Viet", in 2023, Gill has enrolled in season 3 of the sho.w. The appearance of the male rapper at the casting made rap fans excited and surprised. Because, before the official contest date, the guy once posted a status line with the content of happy wishes to the brothers who are preparing to cast Rap Vietnam, and at the same time revealed that he would choose his own path to participate in "Who Is He" season 5.

Sharing about the reason for returning to Rap Viet again, Gill said that because in season 1 he felt that he was still "young" and had not really used up all his energy, so he was determined to "do it again" this season. However, for personal reasons, the male rapper was unable to appear at the recording.

In 2024, Gill returns with a second studio EP titled "On the Street" marking the next memorable milestone in his artistic journey. After that, he continued to release the MV " Full house" in collaboration with rapper Wxrdie and producer Machiot.

Until recently, Gill officially made a comeback of "Rap Viet" season 4 and continued to be the focus of attention. Returning to this program, the male rapper has a pure and pure mind, spirit to conquer the contest.

Taking the prototype from the song "Snow of Love", Gill's contest has reminded many memories, especially for the 9x audience.
