Details such as burning the granary, using a few words to handle everything... were criticized by the audience as illogical, reducing the persuasiveness of the plot. Instead of exploiting the character's intellectual depth, the film turned the female lead into someone who likes to "pretend to be sick - act spoiled", and political intrigue was just an excuse to push love forward.

The inconsistency between the original ambition and the actual content left the audience feeling disappointed. Many commented that instead of a film that mixed intrigue and romance, Kneeling gradually became a "regular historical romance", lacking real breakthroughs and climaxes.

Many viewers pointed out mistakes that caused this project to lose viewers in the later stages, affecting the score.
