Khanh Hien gained attention after the film "I see yellow flowers on green grass" directed by Victor Vu, released in 2015.
She married her overseas Vietnamese husband James Ngo in late 2016 and moved to the US after getting married. Before that, she said that before they got together, James Ngo had spent a long time persevering in her pursuit. At first, Khanh Hien did not receive affection from the director. However, James Ngo did not give up. He "planted sycamore" in front of Khanh Hien's house for days, even causing her to avoid her by going to the hotel for a month.
In 2021, the I See Yellow Flowers on Green Grass actress said she was pregnant for the 2nd time at 6 months, and was quite worried when this was unplanned for both couples.
After the birth of her first son, Khanh Hien has returned to Vietnam and intends to focus on her career. However, the continuation of the pregnancy will cause her to put all plans on hold and return to the United States to be cared for by her husband's family. Khanh Hien said: "After giving birth to my first baby, I went back to acting. I acted in 5 consecutive films in 2019. In August 2019, I broke my plans, got pregnant for the second time, so I had to stop everything."
The actress shared that her current health condition is stable, gaining 12kg but still agile. At home, she helps with household chores, sells online and helps her husband manage the event company.
Khanh Hien shared her stable health condition during her 2nd pregnancy.
In her latest interview, the actress shared about falling into a state of depression, sadness and missing her job, especially when she was eager for artistic activities when she got pregnant.
Khanh Hien shared: "I miss the atmosphere of the set, I miss the feeling of transforming into roles. When I have children, I have to sacrifice my career. Everyone wants to come to the United States, but it's not easy to live here."
"In Vietnam, there are always family, friends and colleagues. I have difficulties, I am tired, everyone is there to help. In America, my husband and I do it all ourselves. It was harder, but I felt more mature and independent. Therefore, the personality is also deeper," Khanh Hien added.
Talking about the first time after giving birth, facing depression, Khanh Hien recalled: "Giving birth in the US, managing everything by myself made me depressed. I hang around at home every day, not daring to go out because I don't have a driver's license, I don't speak a foreign language. My time in America was like being deaf and dumb. My soul is only soothed when my husband is around."

The decision to leave Vietnam with Khanh Hien was a trade-off, accepting sacrifices because she wanted to live next to her husband and children with a better school environment. She admits that her income from work has decreased because she no longer acts as much as before, has to turn to online sales to feel like she can make money, does not want to live on her husband.
Currently, she has adapted to life in the US, getting used to communicating in English and being more active.
Khanh Hien always thinks positively: "Getting married early and going to the US to have children, I say no regrets is a lie. Yes, but come to think of it, I have a lovely kid like Eric who can't compare. It's my gold, so what's there to regret? Watching my son every day, I can't believe everything came to me so quickly.
I let go of negative thoughts, optimistic thoughts about the future, try to do the best for my family, myself. I lifted myself mentally."
In the sharing at VNExpress, actor Khanh Hien shared that since having children, she and her husband are not as passionate as before. "When baby Eric was born in a hospital in the US, my wife and I hugged each other crying with happiness. He loved me so much, he came home from work, got dressed and ran to replace me to babysit. He even stayed up late to bottle feed. It's his good side that I always appreciate. However, from the day we had baby Eric, our feelings were not as strong as before. Maybe we had kids too early, got married and didn't go on our honeymoon.
Our first year of marriage was busy with our children, and my wife and I didn't have time to take care of each other. On the other hand, after giving birth I was stressed, my physiology changed erratically. I sulked more. My husband is no longer as spoiled as he was in love. He changes quite a bit, which frustrates me sometimes. I desperately wanted to warm up but didn't know how to do it because I wasn't smart. In the past, my husband spoiled me, now I spoil him again. Since becoming a mother, I have learned to know the right needs at the right time to keep my family happy."

Online sales are a popular development in recent years, it helps many women, especially diapers who are nursing young children, have a significant source of income to cover their lives. Khanh Hien - mother of 2 children also had her heart when encountering many comments touching her online sales business. The actress said that the fact that she sells online, even the scene of one hand carrying her child with one hand to hunt for discounts on online sales for customers received the pity of some people. Others were heavier, insulting to her honor and image.
However, overcoming all those gossip, Khanh Hien no longer feels happy, more ashamed or shed tears first, but is more motivated to work, earn money financially, raise children fully. She wrote: "There were some people who texted and commented on Hien: "Why don't artists keep their images and faces. After all, it's an actor who sells online, looks bad, doesn't it? Seeing you carrying your child, carrying your armpits to hunt for customers, where is your husband.? Need help? And there are many other visits and suggestions. I thank you for your comments. If you make real money, suitable for your current situation to take care of yourself and your family, there is nothing to be ashamed of. Hands up begging for money is embarrassing. Is it edible? Stay present, live in the clouds and eat the air, folks?
Any honest job that brings income is worth honoring. Being an active person who likes to be self-reliant in financial matters, I am not afraid of difficulties. A little bit of please."
