Dinh Bao abandons the AC&M label, achieves great success in the US, and reveals his private life

Singer Dinh Bao - former member of AC&M group, currently residing in the US with the job of an educator, producer and founder in the field of music technology. He studied for a Master's degree in Music Technology and a PhD in Music Education in Silicon Valley.

During nearly 2 decades of working in the US, he founded a private music school, besides holding the role of CEO of an entertainment corporation and was a member of the Business Development Council of Forbes US magazine with many articles on solutions for the development of Vietnamese music in the international market.

Having been involved in the international art scene for many years, the male singer wishes to connect Vietnamese music with the world.

"This is the time for us to write a new chapter for Vietnamese music on the world music map," the singer shared. According to Dinh Bao, music is not only art but also a perfect combination of emotions, physics and mathematics. Music and technology, which seem to be two separate fields, are two inseparable parts in the modern world. Technology creates music and music is directly influenced by the development of technology.

Dinh Bao has just founded a music technology company with a model designed as a comprehensive ecosystem to help artists create, release, publish and manage music copyrights in the digital ag.e.

"This is a journey, a dream of a Vietnamese artist and built exclusively for Vietnamese artists. I hope to create a place to connect Vietnamese technological and cultural creativity with the global market," said the former member of the AC&M group.

With a well-trained foundation and its own path, AC&M has left its mark on music lovers for many years. Unfortunately, each member later chose a path to focus on their own ambitions. Currently, although the former members of AC&M all have their own direction, many audiences still look forward to the reunion of the four singers Dinh Bao, Nam Khanh, Hoang Bach and Thuy Vu.

After 14 years in the US studying audio, Dinh Bao recently revealed for the first time the reason why he left the group. Dinh Bao said that when AC&M was founded, all 4 members had in common the passion to sing, to create and to share what they had with the audience.

"Dinh Bao left because fame was not his goal. Bao came to music with a pure love for music. I decided to leave to fulfill my ambition, to continue my education" - former AC&M member Dinh Bao said the reason for deciding to study abroad in the US right when AC&M was at its peak.

According to this former AC&M member, Vietnam has many talented music producers, many of whom even have international mixing skills. However, one of the biggest weaknesses that has yet to be overcome is the lack of sound engineers. Meanwhile, in music programs or products, sound plays an equally important role as music.

In fact, in Vietnam, sound engineers are always a "rare commodity", many large program organizers have to struggle to find them. For example, musician Vo Thien Thanh, despite having fully prepared professionally for his performance, still had to scratch his head because "where can I find a quality sound engineer?". The solution of many producers is to hire sound engineers from abroad to take charge of the program, but not all programs have enough budget. Meanwhile, Vietnam does not have a proper training school, and there are very few experts who are trained abroad and return to work in the country.

That is the reason why the lectures and knowledge transfer of former AC&M group member Dinh Bao on sound initiated by Space Speakers are receiving a lot of praise from people in the industry. Many music producers from Touliver, Slim V to Soobin Hoang Son... have participated in the class and it is expected that there will be many workshops on sound in the future. "This is the path that led me out of the AC&M group and I believe this choice is completely correct" - Dinh Bao acknowledged.

Dinh Bao was born on September 3, 1981 in Saigon in a Catholic family. He studied at the Saigon Conservatory of Music from 1998 to 2008. During his early years at the conservatory, he and three singers with the stage names Nam Khanh, Hoang Bach and his brother Thuy Vu founded the band AC&M (short for A Capella & More) and in 2004, he released his first album called Bong Co May.

He has a baritone voice, which he was known for when he was a member of the band AC&M. His voice is quite high, and this is most evident when he sings hymns.

In addition to art, Dinh Bao has returned to his role as a family man. For many years, he has had a private life and a happy family. Dinh Bao moved to the United States to settle down in 2009. He got married in 2017 to his wife, Helen, a quality control director for Louis Vuitton in North America. The male singer revealed that his wife lives in the US but still maintains Vietnamese character and traditions. In life, the two understand each other and rarely argue because they have many similar passions and interests. He loves his wife very much and she has to work hard at work and at home, and he is willing to go into the kitchen when she is tired or too busy with work and always takes advantage of her free time to do housework for her. He highly appreciates his wife, both for her ability and effort.

"My wife has a sense of aesthetics and a refined sense of fashion, so she knows how to beautify herself and help her husband and children become more perfect and neat every day," Dinh Bao said. Their home has been filled with laughter since the birth of their first daughter, Harper. She is the motivation and source of joy for the male singer after busy and stressful working hours.

The 4-year-old bab.y has a lovely appearance and a mischievous personality. In 2020, when she was only two years old, she was infected with Covid-19, which made Dinh Bao very worried.
