Initially, he did not expect the house to face the risk of forest fires. "I built it to withstand earthquakes, not fires. But the solidity of the house saved it. The engineers did a really good job," he admitted.

While working, Mr. David received news that the area where he lived had been affected by a fire, many surrounding apartments had been burned down. At that time, Mr. David thought that his million-dollar house was also gone. However, a "miracle" happened.

“The real estate agent was watching the news and saw the apartments next to mine destroyed. He said to me, ‘Maybe your apartment will be the same.’ It seemed like nothing could survive the fire. I thought my apartment was gone,” he recalled. “But miracles do happen.”

None of David’s family members were present at the time of the fire. The businessman admitted that the safety of his family was more important than the safety of his home.

"I'm not too happy. Money can be earned but people can't," he admitted. "I get a lot of messages asking, people saying, 'We're praying for you. It's terrible.' I say people don't have to do that, what I lost was only my money. Many people are in a much worse situation than me," he added.
