When filing a lawsuit against the tech billionaire responsible for the incident that occurred at his home, Dam Vinh Hung chose to work with the Wilshire Law Firm. This is also the unit that filed a request to withdraw singer Dam Vinh Hung's lawsuit against Gerard Williams in early December. At that time, on his personal page with more than 6.5 million followers, Mr. Dam said that after a period of careful consideration, the male singer and Mr. Gerard Williams sat down to talk with each other and came to the decision to withdraw the lawsuit and affirmed that they would not sue again.

According to court records, the tech billionaire worked with four lawyers to file a countersuit against Dam Vinh Hung on December 2. In the 35-page file, Mr. Gerard recounted his acquaintance with Dam Vinh Hung since 2018 and reported on the incident based on witnesses and video. As soon as the incident occurred, Gerard "happily paid all of Dam Vinh Hung's medical expenses as a courtesy, and Dam Vinh Hung later confirmed that he had recovered," according to the filing.

Gerard's lawsuit also listed the cost of ambulance, hospitalization, and medicine at nearly $30,000, and said he had transferred $300,000 to Dam Vinh Hung as a diamond sponsor of the male singer's shows from 2023.

The lawyer representing Mr. Gerard requested the court to consider Dam Vinh Hung's US permanent residency status obtained through the singer's marriage to show producer Lien Pham, and requested that Dam Vinh Hung present his federal income tax returns to prove that his previous and recent income was affected when demanding a large amount of compensation from the billionaire.

On December 8, the billionaire's legal team also submitted a 338-page supplemental lawsuit to the court, affirming that the counter-suit process has begun and will not change. "No one can change my family or the attorney representing me to negotiate this case," he said in a press release.

The court acknowledged 5 applications from HH law firm but they were rejected and returned for further submission according to the correct procedure. One of the reasons was that the old law firm agreed to be replaced but did not specify the date of signing the application. Currently, the two lawsuits are still in effect, the procedural order will be resolved in the near future.

Some people just take the exact percentage, regardless of the costs. This depends on the contract between Dam Vinh Hung and the lawyer, outsiders do not know."
