On March 17, the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch handed over the initial documents and related exhibits to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Bureau of Investigation for investigation. On March 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Bureau of Investigation temporarily detained four female flight attendants for investigation and verification.

The flight attendants were surprised to learn that there was a banned substance in the toothpaste. They cried, claiming that when in France, they received 60 kg of goods to return home with a salary of more than 10 million dong.
