Hong Loan - the legal daughter of Meritorious Artist Vu Linh shared her feelings before the appeal trial of the inheritance lawsuit with Vu Linh's younger sister. Accordingly, she said that recently, she has been getting used to life without her father by her side.
Hong Loan shared: "Up until now, I have never been involved in such things. Now, what will come will come. I always have my brothers and sisters supporting me, my whole family supporting me, so I feel somewhat secure.
When my father was still alive, I was very happy. He protected me so I was safe. He protected me wherever I went. But after he passed away, I suddenly felt lost, and all sorts of things came to me. In general, it was a storm. I didn't know where I would go. There was pressure, my spirit was very low, and I was confused. I relied on my daily work to forget what was happening."
Notably, when talking about the late artist, Vu Linh's daughter burst into tears because she missed her father. She said that to this day, the "king of reformed opera"'s room is still intact. Whenever she misses her father, Hong Loan will come here to visit, but at night, she still goes back to her room to sleep because she believes he is still there.
Vu Linh's daughter confided: "Until now, I have kept my father's room the same so that when he comes back, he can sleep here. Whenever I miss him, I come up here, just having a little bit of him is enough."
Currently, Hong Loan just hopes that the lawsuit will be closed quickly so that she can focus on taking care of her husband and children. She revealed that in the near future, when she has saved enough money, she will renovate the house because it is damaged a lot. Hong Loan said: "I try to work hard, save money to repair the house, because right now the house is leaking, fixing one place only causes damage to another.
After the trial, I still have a future ahead of me, I still have to take care of my children and family. I don't want my father to be sad, so whatever I do must be right, not against my conscience. I hope everything goes smoothly, so that my family can be at peace, and most of all, that my father can rest in peace in heaven."
More than 2 years after her father passed away, Meritorious Artist Vu Linhâs daughter has gradually stabilized her life. Currently, she and her husband and 5 children are living in the late artistâs former house at 5 Doan Thi Diem (Phu Nhuan, Ho Chi Minh City) - located in the disputed heritage.
It is known that Hong Loan has completed the procedures to transfer the ownership of this house. Previously, on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, she repaired the degraded areas and repainted it. Vu Linh's daughter has repeatedly affirmed that she will preserve this place to keep memories of her late father.
Currently, Hong Loan focuses on selling online, earning money to take care of her small family. Besides taking care of her personal life, she also puts a lot of effort into the inheritance dispute.
This morning, June 24, a series of YouTubers and audiences gathered at the appeal hearing of the inheritance of artist Vu Linh between Hong Loan and Hong Nhung. Many people surrounded Hong Loan - Vu Linh's adopted daughter - to livestream and record videos. It is known that on the morning of June 24, Hong Loan came to the appeal hearing with her lawyer, Nguyen Tuyet Ngoc, and relatives.
On the plaintiffâs side, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung, along with a number of people with related rights and obligations, were also present in court. It can be seen that the younger sister of the late artist Vu Linh showed a rather tough expression.
Recently, the noisy dispute over the inheritance of Meritorious Artist Vu Linh has attracted public attention. After the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court opened the first instance trial on January 7, the panel of judges decided that Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung would be divided 15% of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh's inheritance, while the remaining 85% belonged to Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan. The inheritance includes: land and house at 5 Doan Thi Diem, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City; 3,007 m2 of land in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and a car.
After that, Hong Loan filed a partial appeal against the first instance judgment. According to the appeal, Hong Loan did not accept the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court to declare that Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung was entitled to 15% of the total value of the late artist's inheritance. Hong Loan filed a petition requesting the High People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City to review the appeal and amend the first instance judgment in a way that Ms. Hong Nhung was not entitled to 15% of the artist Vu Linh's inheritance.
On January 20, Ms. Hong Nhung also filed an appeal. In the appeal, Ms. Hong Nhung argued that the court of first instance's determination that Hong Loan was in the first line of inheritance and entitled to 85% of the inheritance value was incorrect.
