Hong Loan - the only legal daughter of Meritorious Artist Vu Linh has just had a charity trip, giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances. She revealed that the charity expenses were taken from the 89 million VND that was just refunded by artist Hong Nhung after she won the lawsuit.
The daughter of the "reformed opera king" expressed that this has been her long-standing wish, she hopes to be able to accumulate merit for her father. Hong Loan shared: "I took out 89 million, now I will gradually take out to give to the people, to accumulate merit for my father. I have cherished this for a long time, now I will send it to all the people in difficulty everywhere".
In 2024, Hong Loan filed a lawsuit against BHM Media Company over a dispute over the right to manage and protect Meritorious Artist Vu Linh's image on the Internet.
According to the lawsuit, the farewell program for Vu Linh, which took place on the last night of the late artist's funeral (March 2023), was broadcast live on BHM's media channel. According to the contract signed with Hong Phuong (Vu Linh's niece, Hong Nhung's daughter), BHM is the only unit allowed to film, take photos,... at the funeral of the late artist. However, Hong Loan said that the contract signed between the two parties had not been approved by her - Vu Linh's only legal daughter. She requested that BHM remove all related images at the funeral and refund the mone.y earned from the above images.
In March 2025, the court ruled that Hong Loan won the case. BHM Company and Hong Phuong had to return the collected mone.y to Hong Loan.
In addition, Vu Linh's daughter is currently in a dispute with her aunt, artist Hong Nhung, over the inheritance rights of her father's property. Accordingly, the lawsuit between the two sides has lasted from 2023 to the present and has not yet been resolved. After Vu Linh passed away, Hong Nhung filed a lawsuit against her niece to claim co-ownership of her brother's house.
In January 2025, at the first instance trial, Hong Nhung lost the case. However, the panel of judges decided to divide 15% of the inheritance value for her because they considered her to have contributed to taking care of the family. The remaining 85% of the inheritance value belonged to Hong Loan.
Previously, the daughter of the "reformed opera king" bluntly said that she would not let her aunt inherit her father's property. Hong Loan indignantly said: "Everyone has seen, the one who sued is not me, the one who demanded this and that is not me. The land and the car are still in my father's name, the other side is divided 15% but our side does not accept, so we have to appeal. I would rather take that amount and do charity, accumulate merit for my father than give it to people without conscience. There is no way I will divide it."
As for Meritorious Artist Vu Linh's sister, she unexpectedly filed a lawsuit against three other people for defamation and defamation of her family's image on social media. Specifically, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh's sister filed a lawsuit targeting singer Nguyen Vu and two women with the initials NTMT and NTBT. In the petition, Ms. Nhung asserted that these three people had "distorted information and led public opinion" causing her and her daughter - singer Hong Phuong - to be fiercely attacked online during the tense property dispute.
Notably, singer Nguyen Vu was the one who appeared with Ms. Hong Loan in a music video commemorating the late artist Vu Linh not long after his deat.h. Ms. Nhung said that the behavior of these people "showed signs of humiliatio.n and slande.r," and "abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon personal rights."
Not long after, artist Hong Nhung - the younger sister of Meritorious Artist Vu Linh and her daughter, artist Hong Phuong, came to Vu Linh's resting place in Binh Duong Cemetery to visit his grave. The mother and daughter attracted attention when they brought along a group of bodyguards.
At her brother's grave, the "king of reformed opera" sister expressed her anger and cried over what had happened in the past. She said that after the late artist passed away, her life had not had a single peaceful day.
Many videos showing Vu Linh's sister yelling, raising her voice, and even fightin.g back and forth in front of the grave of the deceased were widely shared on social networks.
Most viewers expressed their indignation: "Going to the grave to pay respects but thought it was a fight", "The resting place is so unstable", "I feel sorry for Mr. Vu Linh's family", "If you fight for the house, you can't fight for the grave", "Whatever happens, I hope you stay calm so that the deceased's soul can rest in peace and have a beautiful grave",...
More than 2 years after the "king of reformed opera" passed away, the family conflict and the "war" over the inheritance of the late artist's younger brother and daughter have not yet ended. Currently, Vu Linh's house (part of the disputed assets) has been transferred to Hong Loan's name and she has moved in. She said she still keeps this place as a place to worship her father, grandparents and ancestors.
Meritorious Artist Vu Linh's younger sister sent a complaint against Nguyen Vu and a series of artists, shocking reason! Hoàng Phúc13:44:50 22/03/2025On March 21, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy announced that it had received a complaint from Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung (artist Hong Nhung, born in 1963, sister of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh) accusing singer Nguyen Vu (born in 1974), Ms. NTMT (born in 1983), Ms. NTBT
