H'Hen Nie goes into the forest to remove wild animal traps, not afraid of difficulties, makes emotional statements

Miss H'Hen Nie has just had a very meaningful activity, when she was able to join the wildlife protection work in Quang Nam. The beauty queen was not afraid of difficulties, sneaking into the forest to remove each trap, choking up her speech.

In addition to afforestation activities, H'Hen Nie is also actively and enthusiastically involved in activities aimed at preserving biodiversity, including protecting wildlife. Since the beginning of 2024, H'Hen Nie has participated in many activities with WWF Vietnam to spread positive messages about wildlife protection such as: participating in singing and dancing in the MV "Stop eating wild animals"; a series of propaganda activities, Flashmob dancing in Hue in March 2024; attending the exhibition "For sustainable life for nature and people" in Hue in June 2024...

To continue this meaningful series of activities, H'Hen Nie went to Dong Giang and Tay Giang protective forests (Quang Nam province). Here, H'Hen Nie and the delegation interacted and directly joined the Community Patrol Team (CPT) to go deep into the forest to patrol and remove wildlife traps. The project is funded by the Biodiversity Conservation Component (under the VFBC project) funded by USAID, aiming to help protect the lives of creatures under the canopy of the old forest.

Before starting the patrol, H'Hen Nie and the group were instructed by the CPT team members on some experiences and skills when patrolling in the forest. Joining Hen on the trip was photographer Ngo Tran Hai An (Quy Coc Tu). He was also the one who kept the group's souvenir photos. After listening to the briefing, the group followed the CPT team's instructions and went deep into the forest. On the way, the CPT team members told memorable stories about the times they went into the forest to remove traps. When they reached the trap area, the CPT team shared with the group about the sophisticated traps used to catch wild animals that were unlucky enough to get caught in the traps. Listening to the CPT team's stories, H'Hen Nie could not hide her emotions.

Especially when seeing the traps directly, H'Hen Nie confided: "Hen hopes that with the team's efforts to remove the traps, everyone will join hands to prevent trapping wild animals as well as hunting wildlife. Let animals live and develop safely in the natural environment, in which stopping eating wild animals is also an action that contributes to reducing the hunting of wild animals in the wild."

Having a lot of experience in forest planting trips, H'Hen Niê is not afraid of dangerous or difficult roads. For her, contributing to community activities is a joy and happiness. Therefore, H'Hen Niê always prioritizes time to participate in these activities.

Through the trip, H'Hen Niê gained more knowledge and practical experience with the trap-removing patrol team. From there, H'Hen Niê hopes to use her voice to spread the message of biodiversity conservation to the community.

Previously, H'Hen Nie had just gone to Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, Thanh Hoa province to plant 1 hectare of forest. H'Hen Nie said that she always prioritizes forest planting activities and every time she meets with partners, she always suggests supporting a few hectares of forest. "Hen wants to spread more and more and the more people respond, the more hectares of forest will be planted."

Despite having experience planting forests many times, H'Hen Nie could not avoid being bitten by ants. She jokingly said that when the ants bit her, her hand swelled up into a lump like a "wood spirit mound". H'Hen Nie did not hesitate to directly dig the soil with her hands, holding a hoe to dig holes for the seedlings. She did not forget to send her wishes for the trees to grow quickly and develop well. In early September, H'Hen Nie will hand over 02 friendly libraries built according to the Room To Read model in Ninh Thuan.
