Jessica confessed that her journey to becoming a beauty queen has not been easy. She has many "scars" in her soul for many years because of her teenage years of heavy bullying. This year, the Miss World Organizing Committee changed its method and took only the 10 best Charity Projects. Mai Phuong has to compete with more than 100 opponents.

Finally, the top 10 beauties in this year's Charity Project include Indonesia, Nepal, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago. With the victory in the Compassion Project section, the 10 beauties went straight into the Top 40 of the Miss World 2023 pageant before the finale.

As of March 4, 17 beauties have been directly identified in the Top 40 of the Miss World 2023 pageant by winning the sub-competitions including Martinique (winner of the Beauty Show section), Croatia (winner of the Sports Beauty section), Botswana, England, Lebanon, Nigeria, Zimbabwe (winner of the Head-to-head challenge), Tunisia (won Talented Beauty), Indonesia, Nepal, Turkey, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Tanzania, Uganda, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago (won Compassion Project).

After a confident and quite outstanding entry, Vietnamese representatives made fans regret by failing most of the sub-sections.

Despite this, Mai Phuong is still highly appreciated by her seniors. Recently, Loan Nguyen - a Vietnamese warrior who brought bells to fight the country at the Miss World beauty front has praised the Vietnamese representative.

She said: "In my personal experience, I think the extra awards are an opportunity for contestants to show off and generate more interest from the fan community. If she wins the sub-award, that's a big media advantage but I don't think the person who wins the crown is chosen due to winning the sub-awards. What matters is how candidates express their personality and personality through the stages that best fit the Miss World criteria. So we can still hope and put our faith in Mai Phuong.

The impression of Mai Phuong with Loan is that she has intellectual beauty and elegance. Many times, Loan even wished that Mai Phuong's English half way would be good.
