Despite this, Mai Phuong is still highly appreciated by her seniors. Recently, Loan Nguyen - a Vietnamese warrior who brought bells to fight the country at the Miss World beauty front has praised the Vietnamese representative.

She said: "In my personal experience, I think the extra awards are an opportunity for contestants to show off and generate more interest from the fan community. If she wins the sub-award, that's a big media advantage but I don't think the person who wins the crown is chosen due to winning the sub-awards. What matters is how candidates express their personality and personality through the stages that best fit the Miss World criteria. So we can still hope and put our faith in Mai Phuong.
