Gia Huy Su Su is also a name that is not too strange in the LGBT community in Vietnam. Once heavily disparaged for coming out, now, the "eyebrow painting saint" is now the owner of the Huong Nam singing troupe with more than 100 employees.

Gender respected by her family but burst into tears when the online community disparaged her

Gia Huy Su Su's real name is Nguyen Hoang Huy, born in 1993 in Tien Giang. The guy had a rather peaceful childhood. Gia Huy Su Su came out to her family and friends quite early and was fortunate to earn respect from everyone. According to him, the family is very modern, open in thought and thought, so it always supports every decision he makes.

In grade 9, during an art practice, Gia Huy Su Su met a male friend and fell in love. In the evening, the male friend actively texted to say that he missed Huy. So from there they openly came together. The boyfriend even went to Huy's house to go to school for convenience.

After about 3 years of knowing each other, the two broke up. Partly because the boyfriend's grandmother heard the rumors and didn't want her grandson to continue a same-sex relationship, partly because the two themselves were starting to get bored with each other.

Despite being respected by her family and friends around her, Gia Huy Su Su has also faced disparaging words from society and the online community.

In 2018, the artist attracted the attention of the online community when sharing about his journey to stay true to his sexuality. Accordingly, while performing in the troupe, Gia Huy Su Su was discriminated against for being gay.

That time, the troupe that Gia Huy Su Su participated in the livestream performance on Facebook, because he did not act, he turned on his phone to watch.

The actor "paled" when he read the rude comments of netizens, "They don't deserve to be in this world. They fly and make society more and more corrupt." This disparaging comment made Jia Hui Su Su burst into tears on the spot.

Later, when the gender story was viewed more openly, the male artist no longer encountered such cases.

In 2020, while participating in the show "Funny Couple", the actor revealed, he had a lover and was happy with this relationship. However, Jia Hui Su Su has not thought about publicizing her lover's image because she wants to keep her boyfriend the necessary privacy.

According to Gia Huy Su Su, her boyfriend is not active in the field of art, and the family does not know that the two love each other, so they have not come out.

Although he likes to dress up as a girl when acting, in real life, the artist has never thought about being transgender or getting married with the same sex.

Gia Huy Su Su used to be the leader of the theater group 2T, used to participate in singing and also an actor of the Trinh Kim Chi stage but was noted as the "saint of eyebrows" on the Youtube platform.

Receiving love from the online community, Gia Huy Su Su participated in the program "Mysterious People" 2018 and received many compliments from star artists such as Hoai Linh, Viet Huong, Tran Thanh.

In 2020, the male artist participated in the game show "Funny couple" season 3 when paired with co-star Ho Khanh Long. He quickly impressed both the judges and the audience with his "touchless" comedic ability.

Not only famous on social networks, Gia Huy Su Su is the Huong Nam troupe. The male artist "inherited" the Huong Nam troupe from a sister in the profession and always tries to do everything to make the troupe more and more known and loved.

For Gia Huy, there is no concept of bingo that is now cleaner and more modern than in the past, just that professionals must try to adapt to the change of society.

"When we sing in Saigon, we wear ao dai and ba shirts in a formal and polite way. But when we go west, the audience likes us to dress up and overdo it a bit, which is typical of each region," the artist shared on the show Come out - step into the light.

Currently, Huong Nam troupe has become the spiritual "dish" of Saigon people after many seemingly forgotten years with regular weekly and monthly performances.

Gia Huy Su Su's enthusiasm is also strongly supported by her family. The artist said on the show Come out - stepped into the light: "That time I went home, opened youtube on my computer and saw that the access history was all my singing videos. It turns out that you have known for a long time and opened it up.

My dad even taught me to sing, my acting gear was personally sewn by my mother, and my dad drove me to the show."

Gia Huy Su Su is now a name loved by many young viewers, especially in the LGBT community. He has also participated in many short film publications and appeared in several television game shows, and has also been invited to perform in several theater stages in the South.
