Film Thanapat Kawila was born on April 20, 1993 in Saraburi Province, Thailand. He graduated from Sao Hai Wimolwitthayanukul Secondary School, graduated from Saraburi Witthayakhom High School and completed his undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Business Administration, Bangkok University, majoring in Finance, with a second-class honors.

Career

Film Thanapat Kawila entered the entertainment industry since high school, through casting for commercials, music videos. He also participated in the Dutchie Bo.y & Gir.l contest in 2013.

After graduating, Film Thanapat Kawila worked as a flight attendant for Thai Lion Air while pursuing an acting career. He later decided to focus entirely on acting, signing up to become a new actor for One31 channel through the Casting Project, a program that searches for new actors to sign under the management of The One Enterprise.

Film Thanapat Kawila's debut role was as Thoet in Jao Sao Kong Arnon (2015). The actor began to be widely known for his role as Dr. Intouch Ekueangangkun in the Sanaeha Diary Series: Gub Dug Sanaeha, 2017 episode Trap of Love. He then made an impression with his role as the elegant gentleman Petch in House of Venom (2018).

However, the role that made Film Thanapat Kawila's name and made him famous as he is today is the role of Wasin Sinsiritechin in the movie Mia 2018 (2018). This is a cold "boss" character but inside is kind and warm. It is this role that helped Film Thanapat Kawila win the hearts of many female audiences.

In an interview, when asked what his secre.t was to help his work go smoothly and be loved by everyone, Film Thanapat Kavila said that he had no secre.t, it was all thanks to his dedication to his work. In any project, if the producer asked him to do something, he would accept. Typically, in Love Transforms Life (Ruk Laek Pop, 2020), the actor did not care whether he was beautiful or not, he was willing to disregard his image to portray the character in the best way.

"For me, opportunities do not come easily. Looking back at my beginning, I was not someone who entered the industry smoothly. My first job was in commercials, when I was about 13-14 years old. Because I was a chil.d from the countryside, my family did not have the financial means to support me, so when I came to Bangkok, I went to castings 10-20 times before being accepted. There were very few opportunities, and gradually I became discouraged.

When I entered university, I still had hope for the profession but did not try too hard to find it. If there was an opportunity, I would quickly seize it. When I signed a contract with the station, I still did not have a main role, only a supporting role. Before that, it must be admitted that for actors who were not famous and lived on their salary, the amount of mone.y they earned was not enough to live in Bangkok. Therefore, I had to do other jobs to cover living expenses," he said.

During the period when he gave up his job as a flight attendant with a salary of hundreds of thousands of baht to pursue acting, many people criticized Film Thanapat Kavila and thought he was stupid for making this choice. However, the actor still believed in his decision. He shared that he really appreciates the opportunities he has now, because the road to today is really full of difficulties and has many big turning points.

With more than 10 years in the profession, Film Thanapat Kavila always tells himself that if he stops improving his skills, he will take a step back. According to him, acting can support an actor for life, however, this still depends on the person having to plan financially and constantly train themselves.

Sharing about how to develop himself in acting, the actor said that he always tries to find new inspiration by watching movies, series and talking to people to see different perspectives: "For example, when an incident happens, each person will have a different reaction and I can learn that to apply to acting. When watching movies, I wonder why this character can be so evil or so good, then find out the reason for that personality."

When he has time, Film often tries to learn new ways of acting, to find out what he needs to develop and maintain. In addition, he also focuses on meditation to easily immerse himself in the character.

In more than 10 years of pursuing an acting career, Film Thanapat Kavila received 19 nominations in acting categories. Of these, he won awards 9 times.

Despite receiving many awards, the actor still maintains a progressive and humble attitude. Film Thanapat Kavila shared that he reminded himself not to have any illusions about his current achievements: "I feel that as an actor, when working on a new project, I have to start from scratch. I don't look at the fact that the previous film helped me win an award and the next film will have similar results."

The actor affirmed that he felt happy to be recognized but often told himself to continue trying with his work. Because if people continue to live with the success of the present, they will never develop in the future.

Film Thanapat Kavila is a serious and disciplined person. In the past, because his family was not rich and had gone through difficult times, he felt responsible for helping his family have a better life. However, because he wholeheartedly supported his family, there was a time when he had psychological problems.

Currently, Film Thanapat Kavila has adjusted his life. He said he feels he needs balance, must focus on what is present and not think too much about the next job.

Film Thanapat Kavila is still single. Being a dutiful son, the actor is always concerned about whether his wife and mother can live in harmony. This is also one of the many reasons why he is still single.

He also revealed that his standards for a girlfriend are not many, not even based on appearance, as long as the other person is a hard worker, has goals in life and can understand each other.
