The authorities have worked with Phung Thanh Do, aka streamer Do Mixi, to propagate and remind about violations related to the use of banned substances and non-standard statements on social networks.
On the evening of September 11, the Hanoi City Police worked with Phung Thanh Do, also known as Do Mixi, one of the leading streamers in Vietnam. This meeting took place at the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention, in order to clarify this character's behavior of using banned substances and making inappropriate statements on social networks.
The incident originated from images and videos circulating online, recording Do Mixi smoking shisha at a bar. These images immediately caused many mixed and harsh reactions in the online community. It is worth mentioning that, since January 1, the use of shisha has been officially prohibited in accordance with the law. The case became even more serious when Do Mixi was a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) with great influence, especially for young people. Therefore, the Hanoi Police have determined that this incident can have a negative impact on security and order in cyberspace and decided to intervene to verify and clarify.
At the meeting, Do Mixi admitted that the person in the video was herself and confirmed that she had used shisha on September 3. After verification, the Police carried out propaganda and reminded the male streamer of his violation. At the same time, the authorities also emphasized the civic responsibility and social responsibility of influential people. Building a safe and healthy online environment is not only the task of the management agency but also the responsibility of each individual, especially those who have a voice and are able to orient public opinion like Do Mixi.
In addition to handling Do Mixi's violations, the Hanoi City Police also said that the case is continuing to be clarified for relevant organizations and individuals. This is a tough move to thoroughly handle violations, ensuring the strictness of the law.
Through this incident, the Hanoi Police also issued an appeal and recommendation to the entire community of influencers on social networks, including KOLs , KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers) and influencers. The police agency suggested that these individuals should strictly comply with the provisions of the law, maintain a culture of behavior, and make standard statements. This not only helps protect personal image but also contributes to building a civilized and positive cyberspace.
In addition, the Hanoi Police also called on the online community to be alert, know how to distinguish between right and wrong, support positive activities and resolutely condemn illegal acts and lack of culture in cyberspace. This appeal is not only a message from the authorities but also a reminder to each internet user of his or her consciousness and responsibility. Do Mixi's case once again shows the importance of managing and controlling content in cyberspace, especially for influential people.
