Do Mixi 's controversial behaviors and words are being condemned for spreading bad culture among young people. Therefore, many believe that it is necessary to take measures to ban British waves to prevent this negative impact.
Do Mixi, real name Phung Thanh Do, is one of the most influential streamers in Vietnam's cyberspace with tens of millions of followers on platforms. From an office worker, he has built his own entertainment and business "empire", attracting a huge fan base. However, along with fame, the name Do Mixi is also associated with noises many times. His controversial statements or actions often create a wave of mixed public opinion, making his image a hot topic of discussion on social networks.
The controversy stemmed from Do Mixi's behavior that was said to lack standards. In 2020, VTV once named him in the list of streamers with sensitive language and use e-cigarettes, adversely affecting young people. Most recently, the image of Do Mixi smoking shisha, a substance that has been banned in Vietnam since January 1, 2025, has caused the online community to once again make waves. Although he immediately went on the livestream to admit that he "didn't know the law" and apologized, his way of apologizing was met with a negative reaction when he constantly used vulgar words.
This raises a big question about the responsibilities of celebrities in cyberspace. With enormous influence, especially for a part of young people who are not fully aware, their every word and action can become a norm to be learned and imitated. When vulgar statements, illegal behavior, or sensitive content are normalized, they invisibly erode traditional moral and cultural values. Many parents and managers are concerned that allowing this content to exist and spread will create a "toxic" environment, adversely affecting the personality development of the younger generation.
The incident of Do Mixi smoking shisha is not only a personal fault, but also a wake-up call about the professional ethics of influencers ( KOLs ). When a celebrity doesn't follow the law and behaves substandardly, they're sending a false message: that fame can be above the law. This can lead to serious consequences when fans, especially young people, can see it as normal and even "substance".
This incident also caused a deep division on social networks. One side insisted on "banning the air" because it was necessary to protect a healthy culture and deter other celebrities. They argue that, without tough measures, similar behaviors will continue to recur, corrupting social morality. On the contrary, Do Mixi's fan community thinks that the "broadcast ban" is too strict. They defend the idol by emphasizing his honesty and straightforwardness.
However, the question is, does "honesty" go hand in hand with responsibility? Once you've become an influencer, you're not only representing yourself personally, but you're also a role model for millions of others. The use of vulgar language, especially in a public livestream, cannot be justified by "real life" reasons. It just shows a lack of professionalism and a lack of sense of role.
So, is it time to take a tough measure such as "ban the waves" to correct cyberspace? This can be a powerful solution to send a clear message: there are no exceptions for anyone who violates the law and ethical standards. This is also a way to protect young people from negative influences, helping them distinguish between good values and bad habits. Despite its controversy, a "ban on the airwaves" may be a necessary step toward building a healthier online environment for everyone.
Parents are 'disappointed' and 'forbidden' their children to watch Do Mixi 'swear' An Nhiên14:24:40 12/09/2025Young parents expressed their disappointment and worry over Do Mixi's apology video, saying that the male streamer lacked sincerity and was not aware of his misbehavior.
