"Hundred billion" director Nhat Trung hints at first 3D animation project in Vietnam

Recently on his personal Facebook, director Nhat Trung made many people curious about his new project in which he is taking on the role of director for an animated film project. Notably, this film is produced in 3D, appearing for the first time in Vietnam.

The "hundred billion" director shared: "New journey: 18 months for the script, 10 months for character creation, 9 months for pre-production, 6 months for first look teaser... and it will be a movie by director NHAT TRUNG".

Director Nhat Trung's new post made everyone curious and excited, attracting the attention of a large audience. From the image posted by the male director, many viewers speculated that this was an animated film about Trang Ti, Thanh Giong... there were also opinions that this was the character Thang Bom...

Under the article of director Nhat Trung, many people left predictions that this will be an animated film about the character Thanh Giong, but some viewers also believe that this is the character Trang Ti. Under the comment speculating that the film is about Trang Ti, director Nhat Trung expressed his agreement and indirectly confirmed with the response: "correct".

In fact, producer and actress Ngo Thanh Van once collaborated with director Phan Gia Nhat Linh to make a theatrical film about the character Trang Ti - the film was titled "Trang Ti's Adventures", but the revenue of 22 billion VND was only half of the investment cost.

Currently, director Nhat Trung has not shared more about his new passionate project. But through the images, it can be seen that this is the first 3D animation project in Vietnam. Nhat Trung is a famous director in Vietnam. He is the first director to set a new record for Vietnamese cinema with the film "Cua lai vo bau" with the highest revenue of all time in 2019.

The director also shared on his Fanpage with the hashtag: "3D animated film". This also means that if the film is completed and released in theaters, this will be the first 3D animated film in Vietnam to be shown in theaters.

Previously, 3 animated films including: "Dinh Tien Hoang De" - 2D paper-cut film, 30 minutes long; "Tieng gong nui Nua" - 30-minute animated film, "Anh hung nui Tan" - 3D film, 30 minutes long by Vietnam Animation Studio have attracted public attention. The National Short Film Review Council, Department of Cinema assessed that these are animated films with attractive scripts, invested in, researched elaborately, and magnificently by directors and artists.

However, no Vietnamese 3D animated film has been shown in theaters. Some private film production units have also made 3D animated films such as Sconnect, which produced the 3D animated series "Trang Quynh's silly times" and broadcast it on the small screen.

In 2024, Nhat Trung had 2 films with revenue of hundreds of billions, namely Meet again sister Bau and Ma Da. Therefore, the audience completely trusts and is excited about the first 3D animation film project in Vietnam directed by Nhat Trung.
