According to Mr. An's lawyer, the amount of 47 billion VND and 700,000 USD that Mr. An transferred to her through the bank could not have been made by Ms. Thuy because from 2006 to 2008, Ms. Ngoc Thuy was continuously pregnant and gave birth to 2 children. child. It is impossible that Ms. Thuy does not have a job that generates income, so she cannot own the above assets (estimated at more than 136 billion VND).

Specifically, according to Mr. An's lawyer, the client is an overseas Vietnamese who has done business and created a large fortune in the US. Because Mr. An wanted to repatriate and invest in real estate business in Vietnam, he transferred money back to Thuy to buy properties. During the proceedings, Ms. Truong Thi Be (Ngoc Thuy's biological mother) repeatedly told the court that all of her daughter's assets in her name "came from Mr. An's money transfer". Other relatives of Ngoc Thuy also gave similar testimony.

The jury decided to temporarily suspend the trial and reopen it on the afternoon of October 26.
