Since childhood, Tran Lap has shown his musical ability, from 1993 to 1997 he studied at Hanoi Art School. In 2011, he graduated from Hanoi National University, from which he entered his artistic career path. In 1994, Tran Lap and some close friends formed a rock band called "the wall" with the role of a leader.

During his artistic activities, the band achieved great success. Especially with the song "Road to the top of glory" composed by musician Tran Lap himself as a step to help the band get closer to the audience and fans. During his artistic activities, the late musician Tran Lap also contributed to the Vietnamese music industry with more than 30 meaningful songs that left a deep impression in the hearts of listeners.

In 2012, Tran Lap's name once again made a deep impression on the audience and fans when he was invited to sit in the hot seat for the program "Vietnamese Voice" with famous singers such as: Ho Ngoc. Ha, Thu Minh, Dam Vinh Hung.

It is known that Tran Lap married in 2003 and has 2 children. During the time of knowing and living together for more than 10 years, Tran Lap and his wife had a happy life, although they were not noisy, they always shared and stood by each other in difficult times.

Tran Lap shared that his wife is a hard-working woman who, although not on the same stage, always understands and sympathizes with him, during his busy days of artistic activities.

In November 2015 Tran Lap informed the public about his illness, he said: "During the past few days, outside you must have always said that I am a strong person, but for a period of time. That person who is the strongest, the most stable, who has faced the most difficulties is my wife. For me, she is the true warrior."

Despite carrying a terrible disease, the leader of the band Tuong - Tran Lap is still optimistic, loves life and always smiles at fate, even when in extreme pain on the hospital bed.

Few people would have expected that the man with a full body, strong physique, shown through rock songs with a strong voice, brought in him an evil disease from time to time. The disease continued to eat away, eating away at the body of the "leader" until he appeared to have constant writhing abdominal pain and lost 6kg within 1 month.

Worried about his health, Tran Lap and his wife went to the hospital to check. The doctor diagnosed him with rectal disease. The news from the doctor was like a thunderbolt in the ear, it was thought to make the man with the "soul of stone" collapse, but Tran Lap reacted with a very calm and tough attitude. Since then, he knows that he has to work hard to fight the disease and always has to keep his will strong so that everyone can feel secure.

In early November 2015, he did not hesitate to hide his illness, the leader of the band Walls shared the terrible news on his personal Facebook page, shocking many friends and fans. However, contrary to everyone's worries, Tran Lap still showed and kept the strong spirit of a soldier's son.

But the truth is too ironic, after the successful surgery, it seemed that happiness smiled at him, but his physical strength became weaker and weaker, the lymph nodes on his body began to float. The sequelae of the disease were evident in the legs numb and swollen, difficult to move and helpless.

In all his travel activities, Tran Lap relies on his wife's help and even has to use a wheelchair, but the male artist is still very calm, optimistic, trying to keep the "rich" of faith. and think will conquer disease. Because more than ever, he knows he must try to stay mentally strong to help his wife and children prepare mentally to face the harsh truth.

The hospital has become the permanent residence of Tran Lap and his wife during the treatment period. Lying on the hospital bed for nearly 5 months, the period of fighting with death, painful to the bone, but few people see Lap confess to the outside or hear him cry.

After 4 months of fighting with illness, Tran Lap officially breathed his last on March 17, 2016 in the mourning of his family and thousands of spectators and fans across the country.
