On August 17, the Cau Giay District Police (Hanoi) are investigating the cause of the case that resulted in the d.eath of one person in Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District. According to DS&PL, at around 2:00 p.m. on August 16, at the shortcut connecting an apartment building to the back of a shopping center on Tran Duy Hung Street, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, (Hanoi).
According to news sites, some witnesses said that at around 1pm that day, the couple went to the mall to play and had a conflict. After that, the couple took a shortcut and continued arguing. The young man used cold water on his girlfriend, causing her to d.ie. Knowing that he would not be able to escape punishment, the young man did the same to himself, but the result was unsuccessful. The incident caused the g.irl to lose her life, and her boyfriend was taken to Viet Duc Hospital in critical condition.
According to press reports, the p.erpetrator was identified as Tran Tuan Anh (born in 1993, residing in Du town, Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province). The v.ictim was Ms. LTH (born in 1994, from Nam Hong commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province).
Tran Tuan Anh had a previous conviction in 2014 for illegal possession of "drugs" and was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison by the People's Court of Thanh Xuan District. In addition, in 2022, he was also convicted of gambling.
According to specific information, at around 8:30 a.m. on August 16, Tran Tuan Anh and Ms. LTH traveled from Nam Sach, Hai Duong to Hanoi by taxi. When they arrived at the shopping mall on Tran Duy Hung Street, the couple had a conflict.
At the scene, the police seized three mobile phones, a bag containing an ID card bearing the name Tran Tuan Anh and a black cold chain about 12cm long. Trung Hoa Ward Police confirmed that neither the v.ictim nor the suspect lived in Trung Hoa Ward. Currently, the police are continuing to clarify the case to make a final conclusion.
