Family Is Number 1, part 1, is still the leading sitcom title on Korean screens, loved by the audience and watched many times even though it has been on the air for 16 years. Compared to part 2, it is quite unfortunate that many actors of part 1 have now retired from acting or rarely re-appeared. In the movie, Choi Min Yong plays the youngest son of the Lee family, a gym teacher who has divorced his wife, then gets to know his ex-wife's colleague and close friend. This film was purchased by Vietnam for the broadcasting rights in 2013, also attracting a large number of viewers. Before that, the film was bought and adapted by a Vietnamese unit. The film is Vietnameseized with the criteria of being close to Vietnamese culture and people, leaning more towards the humorous and unexpected elements.
