With the desire to continue pursuing his education and improving his qualifications, Hung Huy returned to the US and studied for a doctorate in economics at Golden Gate University. In 2012, while serving as Deputy General Director of ACB, Tran Hung Huy was chosen to sit as Chairman of the Board of Directors of this bank after the "event of electing Kien". According to the financial report, in 2022, ACB recorded pre-tax profit of VND 17,114 billion, an increase of 42.6% compared to the previous year.
