After gaining trust, the fake pages will ask participants to pay an initial fee, with reasons such as security deposit, mission unlock fee, or account verification. Many gullible people have transferred from several hundred thousand to millions of dong. Immediately after that, the subjects immediately block communication, delete messages, lock the group and disappear completely. There are cases where the victims lost both money and personal data, because they provided banking information as instructed.

Chu Thanh Huyen said: "I have never organized any form of online money making. All accounts that require money transfers to perform tasks are fake. Everyone absolutely must not transfer money to unofficial sites."
