CEO Nha Le was accused of "faking" cosmetic services, causing customers to have complications and lose billions?

A female customer who had surgery at JT Angel Hospital filed a complaint, alleging serious complications after cosmetic surgery, revealing hidden corners that have angered public opinion about the cosmetic industry.

Ms. Phan Thi Hong Tham (42 years old, from Vinh Long) sent a complaint and reflection to Ms. Le Thi Hong Nga (Nha Le) and JT Angel Cosmetic Hospital (HCMC) after performing cosmetic services here.

According to Ms. Tham, in 2019, a person named Thanh introduced her to Ms. Nha Le on Facebook for beauty advice. Initially, Ms. Tham was impressed by Ms. Nha Le's persuasive way of speaking. When Ms. Nha Le and her husband established JT Angel Cosmetic Hospital, Ms. Tham was invited to be a collaborator. After 2 months of working, she was informed that she would receive more than 109 million VND, but Ms. Nha Le did not allow her to receive cash but converted it into cosmetic services with a 3-month validity period, if not used, it would be lost.

Because of her busy work, Ms. Tham asked to keep this money, but Ms. Nha Le asked to transfer nearly 46 million VND as a deposit to keep her collaborator rights. After that, Ms. Tham also transferred two more amounts of 10 million VND for breast augmentation and tummy tuck services.

Ms. Tham said that Ms. Nha Le advised on a "full package" of services including eyelid fat injection, eyebrow tattoo removal, old nasal cartilage removal, regional fat injection, Ultraplus structural rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, excess skin removal, and fat grafting to fill the upper eye defect. On December 8, 2021, at her own urging, Ms. Tham went to the hospital for surgery.

During this process, Ms. Tham was advised to do many other services such as liposuction, arm liposuction, full tummy tuck, hip liposuction, and had to pay a total of 55.2 million VND into Mr. Nguyen Minh Trung's bank account. Ms. Tham was upset: "They suggested and 'drawn' a lot of services. Not only did I lose all my collaborator's money, but I also had to pay a large amount of money."

When asked for a red invoice, Ms. Nha Le refused. After the eye surgery, Ms. Tham was swollen. When she returned for the remaining services, her abdomen appeared to be ulcerated and her skin was necrotic. The doctor at JT Angel asked her to stay and take care of her, but Ms. Tham's request to be transferred to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City was initially rejected. Only when Ms. Tham threatened to file a complaint did Ms. Nha Le take her to a public hospital for treatment. The conclusion of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City determined that Ms. Tham had an open wound after the tummy tuck surgery and needed long-term treatment.

After the surgery incident, due to unemployment, Ms. Tham requested compensation and was approved by Ms. Nha Le to borrow 200 million VND, but had to provide the red book of a land plot of more than 629 square meters in Vinh Long as collateral. All text messages and evidence of money transfers were notarized at the Office of the Bailiff Pham Thanh Ha.

However, on March 31, 2025, Ms. Tham suddenly received a notice that Ms. Nha Le filed a lawsuit to reclaim the amount of 200 million VND at the People's Court of Region 1 - Vinh Long. The first instance judgment determined that the loan message was real, and the plaintiff's current claim to the loan was unfounded. The panel of judges dismissed the lawsuit and at the same time forced Ms. Nha Le to return the red book of 629.5 square meters in Hoa Qui hamlet, An Binh commune, Vinh Long.

Ms. Tham shared: "I have filed a complaint with the authorities asking Ms. Nha Le and JT Angel Hospital to compensate for the injuries. I hope to soon receive the legal land use right certificate and be strictly punished if the hospital violates."
